Instead of making silly charts and graphs, why don't the GOP, I dunno, work on solutions to the issues they whine about constantly?

I want someone to ask me about my chart. Get in touch. I'll verbalize it to you and then you can argue it.

Yes, Charles- because what the Europeans figured out how to do decades ago is waaaaaaayyy too complicated for us stupid Americans to understand.

Way to show your hatred for Americans, you idiot.

Well that's exactly the point of that chart, isn't it? Since the Reps want to simplify things how about this? Single payer. You can't get much simpler than that.

the word is that the right has come up with an alternative to the democrat health care proposal. it incorporates the single prayer system. thats where we have one prayer for all sickness and if the prayer fails, well, then it was just gods will.

The Republican plan will remain the same: We've got the best damned medical services in the whole world ("USA! USA!") available for those who can afford it. If you can't afford it, go to the Emergency room. We don't have rationing in the US, unless you include the people who can't afford the care or get their insurance companies to cover it.

The Democrats want to put a government bureaucrat, who has nothing to gain from denying you coverage, in between you and your doctor- the place currently held by an insurance representative, whose job may well depend on denying you coverage. That's called Socialism, and if you think it works, ask someone from Canada or Europe, where the only argument in elections is between candidates who promise that they'll extend the service more than the other guys will. It's a nightmare for people who have to wait for elective surgery- unlike in the US, where there is NO waiting list for elective surgery for anyone willing and able to pay for it. I can't believe Europe and Canada thinks their Pinko-Socialistic Health Care Boondoggle beats out our system!

        (USA! USA!)

The Republicans seem reluctant to address one of the biggest problems; many people cannot buy insurance on the open market because of pre-existing conditions. I'm one of those people. Even though I'm generally healthy, I have one of the many "red flag" conditions which precludes me from purchasing insurance on my own. As a result, I can only get insurance through my employer. So, if I wanted to be a "Joe the Plumber" and start my own business, I'd have to give up my health insurance.

If you have the money for a product, but are excluded from buying it, what is that called if not "rationing"?

"Study after study has shown that prevention doesn't reduce cost"?

Oh, really? Anybody heard of these studies? If I get a $1200 colonoscopy that finds and removes a polip, which prevents me from getting cancer... how does that not reduce cost? Would an insurance company not prefer to pay the $1200 now than the $50,000 later?

My guess is that the studies originate from the same place that puts out all those studies which show that man has no impact on global warming.

Interesting. If they spent as much time coming up with a workable plan of their own as they spent fabricating that chart, maybe they could help.

It's actually a lot more simple than that. It's called "Pay or Shut Up and Die."

If I had more thumbs, you'd get them all going up for that, Pete. Hilarious and sadly true. Remember their numberless budget plans a few months ago?
