I find it rather interresting that Pat realy could not make his fantasy case at that point of time. Thankfully there was someone
who could argue and bring out the plain facts - of course I'm mot talking about Mr.H-ball.

Pat Buchanan is a disgrace to both himself & MSNBC> They should be ashamed to have the likes of him on their air. He is a hate monger & has been so for many many years. His opinions have not progressed from the days when segration was standard procedure in this country. He can't understand that we do not live in those times any longer. That most people with his ideas have seen the light & have progressed with the times. He needs to be taken off the air & kept off the air. I have seen him on many of the MSNBC shows & the hosts engage in conversation with him & listen to the hate that he spreads, without calling him out for what he is.

Is he implying black people WERE enslaved? If so, he needs to keep his narrative straight.

Is Pat saying he does understand the argument for affirmative action for African Americans? That's some progress I guess.

Yeah, I caught that too. He's like the NRA: we should not pass more gun laws, we should enforce the ones we already have (which we also oppose).

Isn't Affirmative Action based on hiring account of minorities? The Chinese could actually fit in this category. Meanwhile, Back at the ranch.............. An even and reflective voice of the people is why Sotomayor was considered. There are enough males so she was considered based on the qualifications of having both race, gender, experience, and background for the position. There may be other candidates, and Sotomayor was not my pick, but, could they have past the background check? If there is another who would have been interested and could stand the background check produce him/her.

You see, the appointment is based on a life's work and history. Not any one of us would have a completely favorable history or background for a number of top ranking positions. Does not mean we a couldn't perform the job excellently. THe mistakes or the mistakes of our parents and the circumstances of our lives might dictate that we are not considered. It is the choices and the dedication to being focused early in one's life that is annointed and can not be put asunder by the flattery of man. All that I will say is produce a competitor and then we can talk. See, I may not agree, but I certainly understand.

ONce again Pat dares to say it like it is and liberals continue to insist that "some animals are more equal than others". How Orwellian and unamerican where the constitution guarantees equal rights for all, not special rights for protected classes.
