Obama seems to love chanllenges so we will wait any see
Calling him a "lame duck" with 75% of his term left makes about as much sense.
Tell you what, Tweety . . .
I'll consider Obama a "lame duck" IF, and only IF,
the following occurs:
Instead of the Dems losing the governorships {which are STATE, not NATIONAL, offices, BTW} in two states Obama handily WON in 2008;
- EVERY incumbent Dem up for reelection in the '10 midterms loses
- EVERY GOP challenger in the '10 midterms wins
- and, Obama refers to the '10 midterms as a "thumpin'"
Deal?
Really?
Does any one know his approval rating?
Tweety call Bush a "lame duck"/
Hardly . . . by 2004 Matthews was comparing Bush to Churchill and saying his face belonged on Mt. Rushmore . . .
Chris Matthews needs to script more and free-form less. Take some breaths. Think before speaking. Consult notes (have notes).
I think he's probably smarter when the red light on the camera isn't on. I could be wrong.
He's getting awfully close to joining the network of old angry white men yelling into microphones/cameras for a living. But he hasn't made the leap yet.
Given the economy (no matter whose fault), a general perception of Kaine (not my favorite governor), and without a real dynamo running for the Democrats overcoming these two things -- I think McDonnell has a better than 50/50 shot at winning.
