Pat has the right to his opinions, but the American public knows that he has dated himself by spouting rhetoric that inflamed him in the 60's. He is still angry at LBJ and will go to his grave with that hate.
We can ridicule him, but he will not change. As long as he is given a stage to profess his bigotry, he will do just that.

Rachel Maddow gave him the opportunity to state his case and replied appropriately that his POV was past it's expiration date.

MSNBC would be wise to acknowledge that fact rather than to continue to give him free access. It may help the aged GOP, but it certainly won't be a calling card for the youth in our country, who do not concur with all the bigotry he espoused.

As an observation, he somehow thinks that the grading curve that applied to Ms. Sotomayor was significantly different than his. This was pure spin and should be called exactly that. But that is what these pundits will do, apply today's standards to yesterday and want you to believe that it is true, because they said so. So I will denounce it for what it was, A LIE.
Even in these days of high rhetoric, facts are facts and if he cares to challenge it, the sent forth facts to prove his statements as anything more than the LIES!
