Well, when you are Glenn Beck and you go around spouting all manner of bilge and you expect people to thank you and hang on every ill-intensioned world, then listening to someone try to talk to others as equals, it probably does sound like an apology. Glenn just wants to bully everyone and he expects them to like it and ask for more, too.

Bolton's next book, following the title of the one they're hyping:
Stupidity IS an Option, even a Requirement!

Maybe I'm wrong but what is "De-Velop?" Isn't that just "Develop?" Did anyone else catch that? And if the Green Jobs Czar did indeed say "develop the world," what's wrong with that? Am I missing something here?

I think it's used in the sense of opposite of "envelop", like we're going to stop being jingoistic imperialists.

That's my only explanation for why he's saying it so bizarrely and freaking out.

I'm at a point now that all commentators who are schilling for a book must pretending to be unbiased commentators. There's an agenda for all of them (book sales) and this political jabbing is how they sell more books.

It is so disingenuous that these people are "experts" are speaking about these subjects without bias. They aren't even trying to pretend that it's fair and balanced... it's like the Disney Channel comparing Universal Studios Orlando and Disney World.

Beck defines "apology" as anything less than condemning every foreign nation and its populace for having the audacity to not be the United States.

My wife and I go to Canada every year to attend the Toronto International Film Festival and we tend to do our own apology tour: apologizing for Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage, Fox News.....

"to deeee-velop the world, that doesn't sound good"?

I don't know about anyone else by I get the feeling from this that Glenn isn't questioning wether development is the right thing for the world, he just doesn't know what the word develop means...maybe he had a Bill'O "to play us out" moment in rehearsal?

If there is "apologies", as Beckie assumes, we're "apologizing" for those 8 years of BushieCo's wreckless and dismissive foreign policy.
