The conservative argument for abortion is not based on logic, it's based on religion and emotion... when you try to intellectually dissect the anti-abortion argument it falls apart.
The right of the individual is absolute. No government or group can obstruct these rights to personal freedom and choices...
Besides, wouldn't an anti-abortion amendment be the the government trying to control your life.
I can't even begin to comprehend this...I think my brain just stopped.
Um, Rush, it's the law and allowed. Aren't you about no government intrusion?
37% of women respond to this guy? I think that's inaccurate...

I believe that if you are screwing around with your boyfreind and get knocked up then you have made your bed, now lie in it and don't take it out on the kid by killing them. If you aren't up for raising a child then put it up for adoption, I realize it is no where close to being raised by your parents, but it is infinitly better then not having a shot at life in the first place. However that is not to say I don't realize there are circumstances where abortion is necessary. For instance, when the mother's life is in danger or with invitrofertilization. With the latter they obviously put more in than they need and abort the extras later which I still somewhat have qualms with, but take comfort in the fact that the majority of fetuses used for stem cell research come from this kind of procedure.
I realize that it is wrong to take the mother's rights to an abortion away, but you can't do it at the expense of the child. What really needs to happen is not to eliminate abortions all together but to eliminate the need for them. We need comprehensive sex-ed in schools and no more of this unrealistic abstinence crap, easier access to condoms, birth control, and contraceptives. We need to remove this social taboo of talking about sex when it can be done in a productive way.
Wow that was quite a rant, and I will now ready myself for the backlash.
