I'm so embarrassed that this is my Congressman... although I didn't vote for him is still embarrassing.

But I do enjoy the fact that this is happening... these nut jobs keep messing with the GOP. Can you imagine if Congress had investigations on the FEMA Concentration Camps?

Cracks me up!! Maybe Steve Young or some other Democrat will have a chance in 2012...

Hey don't you be embarrased. I've got ENSIGN! Another story. Anyway, I just watched it on Hardball this evening, and the obvious racism that is being displayed by these Republican idiots needs to be stopped. It's ridiculous. How in the Hell can they DARE ask the African American PRESIDENT to sign a Bill that requires future Presidents to provide a birth certificate before running for office? Are they sick or stupid or both? There should never, ever be a Republican in office again. Not in this country if this what they call governing.

Mr. Matthews (speaking with G. Gordon Liddy) said the same thing about President Bush dressed in his cute little flite suit.

Mr. Matthews is an equal-opportunity tingler...

Matthews is right on about Campbell's weak attempt to keep the question going for the nutjobs. Campbell very well knows this will not make it out of committee and the tools will all rally around that fact saying it's a Democratic conspiracy.
I'd like to see the Democrats force a bill that requires all members of Congress to acknowledge Obama is the president and for those who vote no we can bring back the Sedition Act.

Yeach. I hope that was just a bad joke. The Sedition Act was probably one of the worst and most abusive acts in our history.

While I think these Obama haters are truly disgusting, we should use our First Amendment Rights to expose these traitors for what they are and let them face their punishment at the ballot box.

And yes, if you do not accept the duly elected leader of our country, you are a traitor. That goes for anyone who did not accept George W. Bush as their president as well. I realize George W. Bush came into the office under dubious circumstances (to put it mildly), but the due process of law was followed - maybe not the liking of many of us, but it was followed to its conclusion.

Yes, it was a joke, but you got my drift about their treasonous acts, such as the bozo who didn't want to be deployed because the President is not really the President.

Yes amazing the united front of Republicans against their own Hawaii governor who clearly stated that Obama was Hawaii born. Of course, that implies that my party can think clearly on this issue. But the R blabberers on this issue are the ones jerking Republicans into this stupidity. There is nothing for moderates to do except vote Democrats in if Republican insist on being so stupid.

That brings up a good question. Which Obama-lovers traveled back in time to insert the birth announcements into those papers? I heard Obama paid a million dollars for "legal defense". He might-could have built himself a time machine with the money and called it "legal defense". Hmmmm... What lengths will Obama-lovers go to in order to make all of this evidence up for something that absolutely did not happen.

Hey left wingers, the bill is supposed to prevent future problems.
      Such typical name calling.

Oh yes, that birth announcement is a legal document.

Can any of you enlightened liberals give a reasonable explanation of we obama won't release the long form certificate?
And explain why the blocking of the certificate release shouldn't raise questions?

Hey left wingers, the bill is supposed to prevent future problems.
There was no problem this time, so this is unnecessary legislation to do what Mathews describes, appease the wingnuts such as you.
Can any of you enlightened liberals give a reasonable explanation of we obama won't release the long form certificate?
Snore. It's been explained many times. He doesn't have the original birth certificate. It's an official document of the state of Hawaii. You can't just take state documents. The process is that you request a certified copy and that's what he did. Plus, he has no reason to go out of his way to obtain the original. The certified copy is legal in all things.
