I criticize Joe a lot, but I must give him credit on this one.

Indeed. At least there is one reasonable conservative on the TV and or radio these days.

Yes, and it's Bruce Fein, not Joe Scarborough.

Yes, Fein is a reasonable conservative. I wish there were more like him. He's knowledgable and likable to boot. He seems to understand what's at stake for our country. I like him better than some of the conservaDems.

Sorry, disagree. A cursory search of the archives here seems to say otherwise...

Let the republican fracturing begin. My bet says Limbaugh, Beck and Dobbs will continue to feed it, O'Reilly denounces them.

Just to be clear: I acknowledge the birth certificate and the moon landing, but I do have grave doubts about the veracity of the 9-11 Commission's Report. That's just me.

how is it that anyone who doesn't agree with Joe Scarborough is labeled a "conspiracy theorists"??
I'm a fact driven thinker, who voted for Barack Obama, very proud when America reached the moon, but I agree with Lee Hamilton, the 9-11 commission was "set up to fail" and through these past 8 years we all are left with more questions of said events than answers. Joe Scarborough wants to turn "not thinking for yourself" a verue.

I am impressed that Joe referenced Idiocracy!!!
Maybe I need to re-evaluate my opinion of Joe.. he's not a total idiot.

But seriously, when Joe Scarborough and Bill O'Reilly are the sane ones, you have to wonder about Beck, Hannity, and Dobbs, are they moving the lines...

Actually Obama was born on August 4, 1961, but the birth announcement was 9 days later (from memory). Not the "same day" as Scarborough claims. Not that it really matters, but birthers charge that Obama's mother either flew to Hawaii from Kenya in those nine days or had relatives put in the announcement and (instead of applying for her son to be a naturalized citizen like a normal person would do) inserted the announcement into two newspapers to pull off an elaborate fraud.

Question: Is there any other benefit of natural citizenship over being naturalized besides becoming the POTUS or Vice POTUS? If so, then Obama's mother must have believed that her bi-racial (technically black) child would have the opportunity to become President almost 50 years ago at a time when black folks were being attacked by dogs for having the audacity to reject second-class citizenship.

My birth announcement was in the paper a week later . . . in 1961, there wasn't internet access, etc. This type of delay would not be unusual.

This is the claim that just cracks me up . . . Stanley KNEW in 1961 that her son would someday run for president, so she had to rush back to Hawaii to establish citizenship. I mean, REALLY, people.

What to do? This will never end, it's going to eat up Obama's presidency much like the Republicans ate up Clinton's presidency.
This is how it works: bark loud enough, often enough, and suddenly it's newsworthy. No matter how outlandish, out there, it will be talked about because it's entertaining.
Joe made a very good summary, but it won't be enough.
      Here's the logic:
I was born in 1972, so I didn't see the moon landing. Therefore, it never happened. Even though there is massive evidence, I didn't see it, and I don't believe the tape.
Barack Obama presents his certificate, it's verified, but since he won't let me touch it it's not real. If only he would show the real record, it would be settled. I don't believe in the Internet, because Rush tells me so. So does Beck, Hannity, Dobbs.
      They're ALWAYS right.
