'It is I and my brethren in talk radio.." Something is certainly congealing, but I do not think it is the public opinion. You and your brethren are doing your best to mystify and mislead as many Americans as you can.
Also, Obama didn't destroy this economy, he inherited it. From Bush. The loss of jobs is slowing on a monthly basis, and the stimulus is beginning to kick in and have effect. If there is a heartbeat in the country, you are poised over it with a poisoned dagger, Mr. Limbaugh.
Oh, Mortimer, your ego is almost as big as your waist.
You want to know what's wrong with America?
Is is you.
That should read... It is you.
Although neither side has even close to a monopoly on it, Skepticism in general became a more liberal trait the day (back in 1980) that the Republicans decided to marry themselves to the Christian Fundamentalist movement. Until the right kicks the preachers and funny-mentalists to the curb (and the hell out of government) skepticism will be a predominantly liberal trait.

Of course, wingnuts are skeptical about certain things. Valid birth certificates, peoples religion, basic science... just none of the things rational people should be skeptical about.
(There's some other examples of that in skepdic.com)
But yeah - the overwhelming majority of items in there relate to myths of a conservtive influence: religion as a whole, creation science & I.D., global warming deniers, and of course thier overall anti-science beliefs in general.
And, like you said, the whole "logic & perception" section - which is lots of the likes of Limbaugh and his ilk.
(The obvious irony in that statement is both realized and intentional!)
Very true, Eddie. There are a couple of issues where I can get just as frustrated by Moonbats as I do with Wingnuts trying to get some rationale for their positions. Gun laws for one (though not really a front burner issue for most libs, except in the minds of conservatives), and the Death Penalty come to mind.
But I think the difference that formed my politics over my lifetime was that one side has a couple of issues that some members of that persuasion hold that I find illogical. The other side has an entire political platform built on emotion and an almost complete rejection of reality.
Amen to that, brother!
Obviously I don't know your complete feelings regarding Gun Control or Cap Punnishment, but I think it's interesting that you mentioned those, becasue they're the two issues that I'm perhaps the most aligned with conservatives on! (And, as you mentioned, neither is really a front-burner / voting issue for me, either.)
Iwas just a little surprised. We seem to be pretty well aligned, politically speaking anyway! :)
If they succeed, we're screwed.
