      There is NO controversy with Obama's birth certificate. There is, however, growing controversy over CNN's willingness to employ a man who stokes the flames or racial hatred.

        I can't figure out why CNN is letting Dobbs spew this garbage because it certainly affects their credibility as a news media organization. CNN should fire him. Let Dobbs go to Fox and then he can rant all he wants.

      Umm, no he can't. He already released his birth certificate. Whackos don't accept it. If Obama released some other document, the whackos would say THAT was fake. If the doctor who delivered Obama appeared to say he recalled the birth and that it took place in Honolulu, the whackos would call HIM a liar.

      I'll say it again -- NO evidence will satisfy these people. They're ideologues bent on opposing Obama regardless of facts and evidence. They'll regard any evidence that proves them wrong as proof of a conspiracy so vast it can manufacture the evidence. There's NO satisfying these people because THEY ARE NOT RATIONAL!

        This is the 2009 version of "all Bill Clinton has to do is admit that he had an affair. That would put an end to all this."

        In August 1998, President Clinton admitted that he had an affair. And that sure settled things, didn't it? The right wing refused to accept his apology- in fact, for weeks, it refused to admit that an apology had been made. Then they demanded another apology. And another one. And another one. Then they impeached the guy over it.

        Releasing the birth certificate was no more effective than throwing red meat to sharks or giving a piece of candy to a whiny baby. It just emboldens the morons to demand more. "Where's the seal of the state of Hawaii?" Um, right there. "Oh yeah, well why was it folded?" Here's an unfolded version. "Oh yeah, well why wasn't it signed?" Here's the proper signatures. "Oh yeah? Well... where's the seal of the state of Hawaii?"

        You're exactly right. Anybody who is spouting this nonsense is lying, delusional, or both. All the birthers' claims have been debunked so often and so thoroughly that even mentioning them is ridiculous. Anybody who does anything even close to granting them legitimacy does not even have the integrity to own up to his/her own reasons for disliking Obama. Dobbs is tipping his hand (again); he is aligning himself (again) with wingnuts who deliberately ignore facts because they're ashamed to admit why they don't like Obama. This is beyond ridiculous, it's moved into the territory of being repulsive.

      I guess the "tea party" is over since this seems to be the direction the crazy talkers are going. Just like with Clinton (travelgate, whitewater, Vince Foster, J. Flowers, Lewinsky, etc) they will keep firing shots all over the place and hoping something hits. Sad sad sad.

      I wish Lou Dobbs and all the "birthers" and other right wing idiots, who try to spout off english like they know the language, and try to show "reason and rational thinking" as if they practice it, I wish they would all read and understand what the constitution says. HIS MOTHER WAS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN AND THAT'S WHAT MAKES HIM AN AMERICAN AND THEREFORE ABLE TO SIT AS PRESIDENT!!! All it takes is one parent to be an American citizen and that makes the child a natural born citizen.       President Obama is very smart not to address this issue at all. The more he ignores them, the nuttier they get and the more they divide the Republican party. Somewhere down the line a representative or senator is going to need these nuts' votes and it'll be very interesting to see how that person addresses this non-issue. But as long as Obama stays above the fray it's all positive for him. This thing is gaining momentum, their base is getting angrier and the split in the party between the sane and the insane is growing. It's going to be fun to watch.
