And we're finally reaching the point where the alarmists pull out the figurative fearmongering equivalent of an elephant gun and shoot themselves in the face.

All subtlety has been lost. "You will die!"

I wonder if O'Reilly has bothered to download the bill and read it It is on the thomas.gov site afterall. Then maybe he wouldn't be so confused. I would email it to him, but I think he already has my email addy going straight to his trash can. Everyone on MMFA should email him the bill and flood his email.

Funny thing about this is, there was a troll on here yesterday yelping about nobody reading the bill, and that he didn't know what was in it, and that it was destruction for America and FREEDOM!

Totally ignoring of course that you can download the bill, and read it for yourself. I love it when people are so ignorant they shoot themselves in the foot time and again.

Hopefully, the trolls will wait to shoot themselves in the foot until -after- the health care reform has passed. At least that way they will be able to be treated for it!

It's funny how everything ends in death. Terrorists? We're all going to die in explosions! Green energy? We're all going to die in the dark! Health care reform? We're going to be killed by the government!

Hey, Mr. Morris? Why don't you just look into the camera, and say, "Soylent Green is people!" You'd be a lot more credible.

Listening to this scum sucking prostitute toe-sucker can kill ya!

What is so damn frustrating about the health care issue is that we spend about 6X the money on military and defense than we would on universal health care coverage for all...

But somehow all that military spending is okay... and health care is what will break the bank and kill us!

If only Democrats were not so willing to except money from the health care corporations... we can get on to saving this nation from the embarrassment of the Republican party.

It's interesting that you forget we already have socialized medicine here in the US, called Medicare, Medicaid, IHS and VA medical. The budget for Medicare/Medicaid alone are 21% of the federal budget and that only takes care of the retired and indigent which is around 15% of the population. Medicare will be broke according to the board overseeing it by at the latest 2016 and earliest 2012.
The Military budget on the other hand takes up 20% of the budget which includes the VA health. I don't see how you get that it would be 6X cheaper for UHC for all than the military budget of the US when Medicare/medicaid alone is topping military spending and going broke to boot. Then on top of that you don't want to get me started on how poor quality of care people get because those services are rationed.
If the people on this board would actually look some facts up and learn a little about reality, you all would see how bad things get when things are "socialized".

That's one reason they're fighting it so hard, and why they killed Hillary's plan. They know that implementing successful HealthCare Reform will almost guarantee a Democratic majority for the next generation.

Even if Obama's plan is passed, the Republicans will NEVER NEVER NEVER admit that it works.

I'm living in Levittown (unlike Billy) with a wife and two kids making 55 grand a year. I'm hoping I don't lose my job because there's no way I can afford health insurance on my own. Not that my health insurance is all that great anyway--the HMO, when they're not denying treatments are jacking up the co-pay. If I get really sick, I know they'll drop me like a hot potato and then what'll I do? I guess I can watch Hooker Morris and that rich phony Westbury O'Reilly while I pour my life savings into medical bills the insurance company refused to cover.

That's a scenario closer to the reality of health care today.

Now how ya feel. I lost my job in December, if it wasn't for the stimulus package I wouldn't have health care now. $250 a month for COBRA is way better than the $1100 a month they would have charged. Fortunately I finally found a job that I started this week, because contrary to rightwinger claims you can't make ends meet on $400 a week unemployment when just your house payment is $1100 a month. I know their idea is I'm supposed to lose or sell everything I ever owned before they would even think about helping me (and then it would be with a look of scorn) but contrary to their personal opinion of themselves that ain't very christian, is it?

snoopy, im glad you found a job.I've been there. When i was laid off from my job in 94 the cobra package they offered me for my family was $870 a month ,needless to say I went without health insurance for the 16 months i was without a job. People in that position NEED some form of low cost insurance.

I like the idea of a competitive market for insurance, and health care. If the insurance companies have it there way, service would be reduced to the fittest, which means the insurance companies take money for no service. Those that agree, with the status quo, are benefiting, especially the politicians. Politics at the expense of the populace...ahem. Excuses, stories, and lies stagnate our nation. Health care professionals do their best to help those in need, and insurance companies drown them in paperwork to avoid paying benefits. Does that make sense to you?

The only thing that is going to kill you here is listening to Dick Morris. I can't believe that anyone would ever takes what he writes seriously. Gotta love the "fair and balanced" channel when 99.9% of their guests are Republicans and hate Obama.

I had to LOL when O'Rightwing says "a guy from Levittown, I'm making $55,000 a year" and Morris coughs.

      Almost subliminal.

Wingnuts must have some type of strange cochlear implant that reverses everything said . . .

Obama says: "I want to cut taxes for 95% of the population."
Wingnuts hear: "Obama will raise your taxes! Let's teabag!"

Obama says: "I want to provide healthcare for everyone."
Wingnuts hear: "Obama's plan is gonna kill ya!"

Why do we elect them to government?
