Dobbs: "[L]eft wing-media" attacking me "because I simply called for transparency" on Obama birth certificate issue

I've seen analysis done on conspiracy theory types. They tend to want a more complicated answer for simple things because to believe very bad things can happen for sometimes simple reasons violates some sort of inner equilibrium. Examples:

Kennedy Assassination: People don't like to think that a President's life could be ended by a single crazy with a bolt-action rifle and limited motive.

9/11 Truthers: People don't like to think that a band of disgruntled religious fanatics can successfully destroy two of the tallest buildings in the world

Global Warming Deniers: People don't want to think that man's numbers and resource consumption could actually be significantly altering the climate of the entire planet.

Holocaust Deniers: People don't want to think that so many people, many appearing of normal temperament and morals, could be complicit in a horrific crime of that magnitude.

In all these cases, the conspiracy nut tries to find some sort of logical explanation for acts and events that make the reality of these events more palatable to their sensibilities. It's kind of the opposite of Occum's Razor.

Where does that leave the newest breed of tin-foil hatters, the Birthers? I think a black man, and one with a Mulim father no less, ascending to the highest office in the manner in which Obama did shakes their sense of right in this world to the core. To them, there has to be something that somehow cancels out this astounding development in American politic. The idea that Obama does not meet the eligibility requirements provides this out for them.

You can imagine the feeling of Hitler when Jesse Owens cleaned up at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. That situation must have done some damage to Hitler's sense of order. I'm sure he made excuses as to why his precious Aryans did not dominate. I bet these excuses would sound a lot like conspiracy theories of today (heck, the entire Nazi philosophy and attitudes toward Jewry were one giant conspiracy theory). Obama's ascendancy has similarly shook the foundations of a bunch of people's sense of order in the world. I don't doubt that a lot of these folks have not acknowledged the racism that is at the root of their uneasy feelings. Hitler said in Mein Kampf that he admired America because it was proof of the domination of the white race, as all of our leaders were WASPs up to that point. Does anybody doubt that Hitler himself would be a Birther if he were alive to see America led by the political equivalent of Jesse Owens?

Hawaii no longer issues the long form, so-called "original birth certificate" (Certificate of Live Birth). Instead, they issue the shorter version called Certification of Live Birth. They retain the original.

NEWSFLASH FOR LOU: plenty of right wing media types are slamming you as well.

But by all means, continue to highlight this ridiculousness and your crybaby antics in yet another edition of your garbage program.

He claims he is the only one that still does research on his topics. Did he listen to the wonderful job of a women that was filling in for him 3 days prior? She did a wonderful job on her research and debunked this nonsence again. From an old researcher, Dobb's research style lacks logic or facts. Lou, Maybe it is time to retire or get medical help.
