          Poor Lou,

He's gotten his ass whooped. Now he's on some pathetic backpedal--doing the conservative flip-flop cowardice routine--trying to cover his arse.

Take a look at it, Mr. and Mrs. America. This is our media now.

            Lou was flustered...

"Damn, you mean he's really not here to satisfy me?"

"But, I'm the great Lou Dobbs, CNN!"

Later in this segment, one of the congressmen sponsoring the bill that would require presidential candidates to release their birth certificates was on with Dobbs & Martin. Martin was being calling them on their BS, and Dobbs rather patronizingly told Martin to calm down and be polite to the (crazy) congressman.

It was refreshing to see Mr. Martin attempting to explain to Mr. Dobbs, point blank, the idiocy of making an issue of something that is "irrelevant." Why does CNN allow Mr. Dobbs to rehashing a non-issue that has been debunked and dismissed by even his own colleagues?

What's the big deal? The haters can't get a grip on a black man being President. I've said it before..Blacks never thought they'd see a black man in the White House..they cried tears of joy.
Some white people prayed they'd never be a black man in the White House. They took it up with God. Well, God heard thier terrible prayers looked down at the praying mob and said "What you sayin', Bro?" And then He decreed, if God can be black then a black man can sure be President... and then God manipulated the election by assigning Sarah Palin to the Republican side. And now you know how Sarah Palin got the nomination for VP and how Obama became President.

What I would love to hear any of these birther freaks look into is whether any other American... EVER! found it necessary to have to use the long form (that is the basis of a certificate of live birth) to have to prove that they are legitimately... natural born!

I swear... I'd love to line up each and every one of these dumb-asses and slap them all upside the head!

The pure ignorance of believing that this non-issue is somehow an issue is simply amazing to just how bad things really are in this country.

Perfectly stated and yet Lou acts as if his point is still valid. He just can't accept the evidence presented although he does the "I believe he's a citizen."

Jon Stewart showed why he's become the most trusted news source but this was most excellent.

Jom did an excellent job on this stupidity. These "old white guys" like Dobbs and Buchanan just need to retire from TV. I am sick of looking at them and listening to them as I am sure many many others are as well.

Arguing with stupid people and people with a political agenda that will lie to further that agenda is a waste of time.

I don't have a birth certificate. Over the years, I have gotten an official document from the S.C. state government. I got one to get a passport. I got one to get Social Security. I did not get the original.

Do these stupid people (sorry, that's the accurate identity) really think that a state government is going to send out the original document to any yahoo who wants to see it for just a little bit? Even send it to Lou Dobbs? Well, to be fair, Lou is not stupid. He's in that category that that is furthering this discussion for political and personal gain.

Stupid sticks. There is nothing that can be done about that. People who are paid to hold a national forum like Lou Dobbs should be held to a higher standard. It is past time for CNN to pull him off of the air.

Believe what you will you sheepeople but there is a case going to have a hearing on August 3, 2009 in Camden, New Jersey. If it gets to discovery then whatever it is they don't want us to see is going to come. I think Obama is a US citizen. But the test to be President is if you are a "natural born citizen". According to the case law which you can read at: Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162; United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649; and Perkins v. Elg, 307 U.S. 325, it is still an open question if Obama is a "natural born citizen". But one thing is sure, unless the Supreme Court hears the case, and unless the Supreme Court rules against Obama, this rape of the Constituion will contintue, no matter what Lou Dobbs or anyone else says.

Wrong again. The rape of the Constitution ended when Bush left office. See warrantless wiretapping, torture, etc. etc.

Gitmo still open no real plan for closure, warrantless wiretap authority still in place. We may not be actively torturing or performing extraordinary renditions at present, but I've seen Obama do very little to put in institutional protections in place to prevent recurrence.

Frankly, pretty disappointed in this area.

          joehorn123,

You may believe that president Obama is a citizen, but you have a very strange way of showing it!

It is this simple... with Barack Obama already submitting his birth certificate (the exact same kind of birth certificate that you and I use to get into college or the military or to get a drivers license) ... nothing more need be said or done.

Any judge that decides to hear this case and waste America's time (on this already proved and created right-wing issue) is either:

Another activist right-wing judge who also hates the idea that a black man lives in the White House and goes by the name, Mr. President and has no problem getting his name known within the right-wing world.

OR is going to allow those fools in New Jersey to get up, speak their idiocy, and then summarily decide against them and force them to pay back every wasted penny that the courts had to waste!

I thought it was already funny until the end when Lou tries to say "I believe he's a citizen."
      then he responds
"Is it keeping you up at night? It's a non-issue. He's the president. What's the big deal?"
