America has the best floral system in the world. Foreign leaders even come to this country to take advantage of our floral system because their socialized florism is a catastrophe. It will just result in late deliveries and substandard flower arrangements.
            From Mrs. Desert, Beaverchin Canada:
Mother's Day 2005 came and went with no acknowledgement from my son that I had given him not only birth, but also the best years of my life. Finally, on the following Wednesday, I recieved a glass vase with withered droopy dandelions, signed "Love Neon". It was the worst day of my life. I began drinking the following day, hoping to ease the pain.

Greta just let him go on and on and on. After the first ten minutes of airing I rewinded my DVR because it seemed like he spoke uninterrupted for the full time. Greta said a total of about 20 words in the first 10 minutes. When he said Obama was a bad guy she said, "bad guy or bad policies" and he did not answer directly he just gave more examples of what he deems to be destroying America. I swear it was not an interview. She could have saved Fox some travel money and just agreed to air his radio show at 10PM EST on FOX News. The one thing I will say for Greta is she seemed like she wanted to puke coming in and out of the commercial breaks, teasing the next segment.

When I saw Greta V.S. covering the O.J. Simpson trial way back when, I asked myself: Of all the lawyers in the word, why did they hire this quasi-moronic woman who really doesn't know what she's talking about? And then I realized: people like Jeffrey Toobin are too intelligent and thoughtful for most of the audience. Pity.

Rush's argument would be so much more persuasive if he would speak from personal experience: for instance, would the proposed plan cover an expensive cochlear implant and auditory training therapy to restore partial hearing for someone whose unmanaged painkiller addiction may have contributed to his or her deafness?

Obama's plan calls for the digitization of medical records. This would make it pretty hard to serial shop for doctors to give you multiple prescriptions in the first place, since each would have instant access to the patient's records via this database, and helping your patient OD on painkillers could cost you your licsence. THIS is why Rush is so opposed to it.

I'm against electronic records especially if the gov plan goes through. I don't want the gov to have access to my record, they have no right to access my records, they should stay out of health care, period.

But you're okay with the current system, ShrinkGov, where insurance execs have access to your health care records and decide whether or not you get care based on their projected earnings?

And, if you don't like government access to your private life, were you this emphatic about it when Cheney bugged the entire nation under the false flag of national security?

Hey King - I think I figured out the difference in attitude between electronic medical records and wiretapping -

Electronic medical records contain useful information. A wiretap between conservatives does not.

Are you a moron? The records are for your DOCTORS, schmuck. You know, so they have some sense of you're medical history, and can therefore diagnose and treat you better? Yeah... I guess I wouldn't want my doctor to know if I have a chrnic condition, or if I'm taking a medication that interacts with other ones, or that I'm diabetic, or am HIV+, or a cancer survivor, or allergic to this or that... yeah, no reason a doctor should have quick access to complete records. YOU'RE A FOOL. Maybe the next time you get prescribed a drug that you're allergic to, or interacts with one you forgot to tell him you were taking, and end up near death in the ER you'll remember my words and eat yours.

As for the gov't business in health care? THEY'RE ALREADY IN IT! And private enterprise has failed for over half a century now to provide adequate health care to ALL americans. FAILED. MISEREBALY. You don;t want the gov't involved? Give me an alternative that accomplishes 100% coverage.

I agree with Rush. I think Ted Kennedy would have been another dead Kennedy if the was just an average Joe American and had to depend on government run healthcare that's being proposed.
I think if he was an average Joe in Canada he'd be dead. And I say this knowing people whose families have dealt with the Canadian system.
Do you think former kkk member, Sen. Byrd would still be alive if he was in Canada? One report I heard was that he spent a month in the hospital. You think these single payer plans in other countries are going to let him sit in the hospital for a month? Ed Koch, former mayor of NYC, spent a month in the hospital with first a (I think quaddruple) bi-pass and then gall bladder surgery. Again, if he were just the average slob, with a single payer plan, he's dead Koch.

Conservatives really ought to go into the fortune telling business. Rush claims to 'know' what President Obama is really thinking. He gazes into the crystal ball of the future and 'knows' that the proposed health care reform will not work. And now Cheney2012 has gazed into the future and 'knows' how liberals would react if Rush were diagnosed with brain cancer. Amazing.

Remember - I can never repeat this often enough - conservatism requires that one strives only to live up to the level of those whom they criticize.

It's kind of a moral socialism, where everyone is equally bad, if not by practice, then by association. Comes from the concept of original sin, I think.

              Hi fishergirlusmc,

What you say may be true, but I'm going to call you on this one. Who _actually_ said horrible things about Tony Snow on the Daily Kos and Huffington Post? Anonymous people on discussion boards? Did the Daily Kos or Huffington Post actually give a paycheck to someone who said "horrible things" and "cruel things" about Snow after his cancer diagnosis and death?

Meanwhile, you may want to turn your attention to the conservative "Accuracy in Media" website, which couldn't wait for 3 days after Walter Cronkite's death to publish a column on how his "liberal bias" had "disastrous consequences for our nation and the world." Mind you, this wasn't some random person on a discussion forum; this was Cliff Kincaid, a prominent member of the website's staff.

I look forward to your response.

          Cheney 2012
Your simple statement shows the hypocrisy of conservatives. Start by name calling a person who you do not know . Bravo, you do not have a point so resort to trying to demonize the other side.

Jerks like you and your fellow teabaggers DID celebrate his diagnosis, once again exposing what really is in the heart of all reich-wing GOPig terrorists. Nothing but dense, cold stone! What they present on the outside is a LIE.

My point is that Rush Limbaugh is not a beloved figure. In fact, he is despised by most. On the other hand, even Ted Kennedy's political opponents have said nice things about him. My point, once again, is that Limbaugh is a despicable character...but I would not publicly celebrate his misfortune if he was diagnosed with cancer. I, would hope, however, that an event such as that would cause Limbaugh to re-evaluate what he stands for and the hurt and divisiveness he has caused.

Hey, Greta - Here's something to think about:
If we were looking to exterminate valid opinion from our media sources, the subrogation of experts with political commentators would be the lethal concoction I would use, too.

Limbaugh is on the air what? 3 hours a day? Why does he need another forum to spout his nonsense?
