As the joke goes: there once was a naval captain who was legendary in battle. Whenever the lookout saw an enemy ship, the captain would yell "Mr. Mate, fetch my red shirt." One day the mate said "Captain, why do you always call for your red shirt when you see an enemy ship?" The captain replied "If I'm wounded, I don't want my crew to know it and lose heart." At that moment, the lookout called down that he saw the enemy's entire fleet. The captain sighed and said "Mr. Mate, fetch my brown pants."

I'd like to say that you can't make this crap up, but every day Glenn proves that wrong.

Given the reason Beck is terrified of ACORN, I can only assume his comments mean Obama has discovered a way to magically poof more black people into existence.

What does ACORN look like? Probably not like a bunch of rich, white guys. I guess that's the problem.

The graying hair around the temples give Beck's appearance just the right amount of crazy.

How can our country look like ACORN in structure, Glen? Our Constitution provides for three co-equal branches of government. Glen, go get drunk and get your head screwed on straight.

Haven't you heard? Buried deep in the HealthCare Bill is an amendment which nullifies the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

It's not so scary, if you look up the bills and read them. Anyone can do it.

Glenn, what does this even mean?

Why are you using ACORN as a boogeyman? What have they done? Nothing... Except, get a whole bunch of folks who are under-represented in their own government, and who are poor, to organize themselves into a coherent group with a message, and that message is to work within your own communities to make them better.

ACORN is a republican's dream. They don't get federal money. And they work within their own communities to make them better. I think it's called pulling one's self up by said bootstraps. And here I thought republicans loved it when that happened.

Even so, ACORN isn't that powerful. Large corporations still hold all of the power Glenn.
