Well, if Dobbs has to be fired for this, then O'Reilly (and Beck, Hannity, Savage, Limbaugh and others) deserve to be fired by their respective employers for even more outrageous comments.

And can we remind him what freedom of speech actually entails?

O'Reilly's answer would likely entail heaving breathing and vague references to Middle Eastern fast food.

Cohen was right to say 'cynical'. O'Reilly, more often than not, deals in outrage, but when outrage doesn't play to his agenda, he peddles in cynicism and outright laziness.

May I use your quote about O'Reilly in other venues? It could be one of the best descriptions of O'Reilly's actions I have ever read.

OReilly and Dobbs are bords of the same feather.
Why would they want to fire themselves when they can con ignorant (white) people into their livelihood?

I assume he is saying ignorant white people are the only people that take them seriously. And since there are quite a few of them in a country of 300 million people then there is plenty of money to be made. Understand now?

Bill actually seemed somewhat... coherent here.

I almost didn't realize that it was Bill.

Maybe he does have some sense after all. Maybe.

if cnn is irresponsible by having lou dobbs on the air, fox news is 10 times more irresponsible by having oreilly, beck and hannity on its air. however, i will agree with the guest... oreilly doesnt pretend to be a hard news guy. he is clearly an opinionated anchor person, but like oreilly said himself, there is a line that needs to passed to be considered too much, and oreilly and his cohorts have passed it many times. and oreilly also says that unless you are "causing danger to someone", it is legitimate to want to get that commentator fired. didnt oreilly commit this act when he kept calling dr. george tiller "the baby killer"? with his labeling of the doctor like that, he clearly caused danger to him.

Hmmmmmmm Something is up at Faux News. Fox pundits are all pointing the finger at Dobbs and CNN as if he/CNN started the Birther conspiracy theory. True Dobbs is a bitter old skunk of a racist- BUT the birther craziness in the msm started on Fox months ago.

Faux News is simply going on the record talking down the birther theory on air because GOD FORBID if some crazy takes a shot at The President they at Faux will be able to point fingers at CNN.

Oh wow. I think we just figured out Glenn Beck's legal defense when he gets caught with a shotgun on the way to 1600 Pennsylvania.

I think it's more they see these lame attacks either outright failing and they want to change tactics ASAP to find a line of attack that works. I don't think for a second Bill O'Reilly would stay away from a bandwagon unless he didn't see that bandwagon, no matter how ridiculous and malicious, succeeding in the end. They know this is making the right seem crazier and they're trying to back peddle. I am sure Fox Nation will keep running with the "Kenyan birth" nonsense story.

Dudes, I so totally called it! O'reilly would denounce it, Rush, Dobbs and Beck would push it. I just need beck to chime in and I'm 100%!

Right-wing professional liars still have trouble understanding that the U.S. Constitution does not protect media heads from being fired by their employers for saying stupid things.

Dobbs is trying to get fired. He wants out of his contract.
He knows that fox noise would give him a very lucrative contract to spew his BS lies on their network.

Didn't O'Reilly want Rosie fired for her floating the 9/11 conspiracy. She was harming America. Now its ok since it's a conservative conspiracy theory against a democrat. His hypocrisy remains in tact.

It's up to CNN whether or not he is fired but he's on a roll now with both Coulter and O'Reilly saying the birther fantasy is nutty.

Was this ever a total hoot.

Could Mr. Cohen's nose have been browner as he sucked up to O'Reilly, who did not take the bait.

It was bizarre watching O'Reilly mock Dobbs' ratings in the process.

I normally can't stand the sound of O'Reilly's voice, but this was just a hilarious piece of surrealism.
