    This is the second time I've heard Obama being accused of saying (at the press conference that started this whole mess) that race played a role. Where the f did he say that? He didn't. In fact, he said specifically he didn't know if race played a role, but the police acted stupidily. Now the media is acting stupidly by trying to say Obama is a racist for his comments. Good Lord, it frustrates me when the media makes things up.

      Understand that most of the media is talking to a certain group of people, not all American people. Those people are hateful or mentally challenged. Truth does not matter to them. If a white person said it, it must be true.

    Juan Williams is a big disappointment. If he believes [k]lannity is harmless he is a bigger fool then the one he portrays on TV. Sean revealed who he really is without ever wearing a hood. Juan is laughing with a devil that is out to incite people to act on their hate. Sean is more then just critical of Obama, he wants Obama out of office in the worse way. Sean is a dangerous man who sees Juan as a inferior man. WAKE THE HELL UP JUAN AND DEFEND YOUR BROTHER AND PEOPLE

      It is racist to expect Juan to defend Gates solely on the basis of his skin color.
      
      A non-biased response to Shameus Insanity is to point out that one could infer racism in his presumption that Crowley was right and Gates wrong without a full understanding of what occurred. For this same reason, Obama was right to (quasi-) apologize for his initial statement.

        You got it wrong again tbone, Obama never said it was about race, infact he said he didn't know enough about the incident to say that.So your implication of his so-called quasi-apology(your words)was not that he accused Crowley of racism, he never did!

  Why is it the left that gets accused of trying to see everything thru a racial prism? The cause of the current financial crisis we are experiencing was first argued in the context of class and political policies. It wasnt until the right started talking about the 1970 CRA bill that was passed which forced banks to give loans and housing to so called "risky minorities" that the conversation turned to race.

  Hannity couldn't even deny his motives here,but it shouldn't have been funny to the panel.Its sad that he lies,distorts,inflames political and racial divisions with such rhetoric.On almost every panel I've seen discussing this issue( on every network) someone says the president accused the police(and/or the officer) of racially profiling Dr.Gates when he specifically prefaced his comments to the opposite.Even last nite on Larry King they showed more of the tape which included his qualifiying statement.Still Ben Stein and this black Conservative criticized the president this way.Why is it that people who say the president is racist to side with Gates but don't see themselves as racist when they side with the police?Neither position is necessarily racist but could show bias or just how facts are interpreted.Fact....Police respond to report of a "possible" burglary ....an elderly,handicapped, law abiding, educated citizen of the community was arrested and removed from his home even tho he identified himself as the resident and not a burglar!!!
  Race ,class,training,bias,.etc may have been factors in the outcome but unless there is a videotape no one can objectively determine the specifics.It is clear now that race was introduced (based on the police report) but not by the 911 call as 1st reported.Why hasn't the police department explained that discrepancy and the need to "keep the cars coming"..even tho the officer had identified Dr.Gates?Need more facts...but police don't look good so far on how they handled this!!!
