Something I noticed in the video at about :19 to :23 seconds in there is an O'Reilly clip of the President titled "Lack of Leadership?" in a looped video that appears to be of him descending down a flight of stairs.

Are... are they... trying to make it look like he is tap dancing?!

Nice catch. I noticed that too. And while the "tap dancing" concept didn't enter my mind, it seemed noteworthy and I was curious as to why they would choose that particular clip to run as a background. Does it fit in with the "chaos" theme? "Inexperience"?

Then I watched it again, with the "tap dancing" concept in mind. You may also notice that he's superimposed on a flag. Then it dawned on me - one could infer that he's stomping on the flag.

Now, I wouldn't accuse the producers at Fox News of intentionally creating that image. I have no proof of it. But it doesn't take much stretching of the imagination to picture some Obama-hating Gibson producer (I don't think that was O'Reilly) with plenty of time on his hands putting together an image of Obama stomping on the flag in order to feed the rabid anti-Obama-audience appetite for hate on a subliminal level.

        I'm just sayin'...

AND... I find it curious that Gibson would be running an "O'Reilly" icon on the bottom right of the screen during his show.

          (I'm so observant)...

        Of course.

When you have an African American, an articulate, intelligent, well-educated individual, in the nation's highest elective office, the wingnut talking heads will try any subtle means {short of actually calling him "the N-word"} in order to reinforce negative stereotypes about African Americans.

Tap dancing works just fine. If they had a shot of Obama eating a watermelon instead of a burger, they would've used it . . .

The analysis of Dobbs is great. Each of the three segments of the analysis really gets into the subtleties of the use of 'believe' and so on.

2001-2009 spawned a cavalcade of 'jackasses' willing to do just that. A cottage industry was created.

There were precious few media personalities willing to criticize the President during the period you mention.

Yes, puppienrainbows, and thankfully that cottage was demolished by Bush/Cheney fascism. Agree and be patriotic, or disagree and be put in a black hole and tortured as an 'enemy combatant'.

I love what Stewart says as the video clip ended with that dumb-ass Sean... about the America that Sean remembers so fondly that the presidency of a black man exemplifies...

the old segregated America where whites were tops and everyone else were well... non existent.

Got to love the ability of these right-wing whores to so easily project their sickness on to others.

Someone should suggest to Stewart that he spend a few moments looking in the mirror.
