MSNBC is not libera ( or conservative for that matter ). Just because they allow more freedom of speech for their reporters ( as opposed to FOX ) oes not mean they are liberal. GW Bush governance enticed this division of american people for eight years and it stuck. The media is the fourth estate that keeps the governance of this nation honest. It is supposed to report the many sides of american history as it relates to contemporary events.

I was being sarcastic. Of course it's not a liberal station.

MSNBC hosts are both liberal and conservative... (what a concept!)

It wakes up to a cup full of conservatism and goes to bed each night with KO and Maddow which are both liberal/progressives.

The only thing is that the left extremists aren't crazy... they don't say stupid things.. they don't have to because there's not a lot of competition.

There's a glut of right extremist... you have to be really outrageous to make a name for yourself with Rush, Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, et al

          It's a numbers thing.

I think the biggest lie of all is that there are people with "Good Health Insurance"

What we have are people with health insurance who haven't had catastrophic illness or injuries.

I think most people will find that once the insurance company deems you as unprofitable, you will see how your "Good Health Insurance" treats you.

Exactly. Health insurance companies make money by DENYING PEOPLE COVERAGE. They drop people as soon as they get sick. This entire debate is about them wanting to keep getting money for doing as little as they possibly can. They're panicking about losing their cash cow. The leading cause of bankruptcy in this country is paying for catastrophic health care, and the Blue Cross (more accurate than calling them "Blue Dogs") Democrats are bought and paid for by the health care industry and are as much a part of the problem as the Republicans who have openly said (see Frank Luntz' memo) that they have to oppose the Democrats on this at all costs because they don't want to lose power.

Sorry for my wandering post, but I'm really sick of hearing people complain about how horrible it would be for the health insurance industry to make less money.

FOr profit private insurance should be made illegal. Period. It undermines the delivery of health care. Even were it to exsist as a supliment to a unvsersla public plan, it would still work against the principla of providing the best possible health care. It's a scam.

I refuse to watch any program with Pat Buchanan on it . . . he may be "Uncle Pat," but like any family's crazy old uncle, there comes a time when somebody has to put their foot down and tell him to just HUSH!

He was "Uncle Pat" up until a black man was elected president, then he lost what little shred of dignity he had remaining. Now he's just the crotchety old man down the street yelling at kids to 'Git offa ma lawn!'.

Laugh it up Joe. More than half of all Republicans believe that Obama was not born in the U.S. And pretty soon, half of them will believe the lie that the government is going to start culling the elderly.

These lies can cause serious distress (see Iraq/Saddam/9-11).
