The more the "birthers" rant and rave about the President's alleged lack of citizenship, the more foolish they look and sound. This issue is proving to be an albatross for the Republican Party, which initially sought to benefit from it.
It is quite telling that some members are publicly distancing themselves from this lunacy (Michael Steele, for one).

What the birthers are showing is not only a certain amount of racism (which some of them project on to Obama), but also xenophobia. I am a Democrat myself, but I also happen to know personally registered Republicans who are actually embarrassed by the lunacy. Glenn Beck and Limbaugh are demogogues who don't care about the people whose passions they inflame. The bottom line is their ratings.

The "proof" the Hawaii official refers to is a phony-looking 'certification of live birth', which is not even acceptable to hawaii for applyiing for a drivers' license. There is no raised seal, some of the required information is not on it, and it is printed on a laser printer, which did not exist back in 1961. It would have been typewritten.
Even if this "certification of live birth" were real, which is very different from a "certificate of live birth", there is still the question of Barry Soetero's Indonesian citizenship. His Indonesian father enrolled him an a school in Indonesia, certificate seen at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2009/gus725.htm It shows his citizenship as Indonesian, religion Muslim. Pay attention -- Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship, so Barry was 100% Indonesian citizen.
obama's half-sister, Maya, a Kenyan citizen, also has a 'certification of live birth' from Hawaii. Anyone from anywhere could get one of those worthless pieces of paper from hawaii back then, whether or not they were born in Hawaii.
There are many other questions to be answered, such as massive tax fraud and multiple aliases and SSN's used by 'obama', what country's passport he used when he was flying around the world on fundraising trips, and much more, and the sooner the Supreme Court starts examining all the information the better. If everything is genuine, let it all be examined. Why has obama spent over a million dollars to hide all his records? Bring it all out and let the Supreme Court decide!
