      Sarah Palin kinda fired them up and gave thempermission to fire the verbal cannons by declaring candidate obama pallin' with terrorrists. that to me was equal tp pres Bush 43 telling us either you are with us or the terrorrists. A presidentiall approver division of the country.

        I disagree. This tactic goes back at least to the Clinton years, when Limbaugh used to introduce his show as "America held hostage." Sore losers, sore winners. They can sense what their base, which is fundamentally afraid and angry, will accept, and go right to the limit of it. A black President with a foreign Muslim-sounding name, the memory of 9/11, all the old Communist/Socialist and racial bogeymen they never let go of, and the changing face/color of America, they have all they need to de-legitimize, and therefore thwart, Obama. They can blame everything their people did on him.

      I do believe the assertion that Republicans are trying to undermine and delegitimize the President is an accurate one. President Obama won by amounts of voters and voter involvement that haven't been seen in nearly three decades. Rather than being mature and offering to help, they are carping and obstinant instead. And I find it particularly disturbing that they are trying to use the most uneducated and misinformed of the extremists to do it. How loathsome can you get?

        I think the bottom line here is that these people are sore losers.

        They were sore losers when Clinton won (twice), but then they still had some power to extract their revenge for Clinton's wins.

        Now, without power, they're left to shout, lie and fabricate. They stopped caring about the country the moment Obama was elected. In their minds, their path back to power consists of standing in the way of real progress. Nothing would make them happier than to kill health care in this country even though many of them would directly benefit from the reforms.

        The Republicans and the drooling fringe contribute nothing but noise. What they fail to understand is that most Americans stopped listening long ago.

          While I agree that most Americans have stopped listening, I am worried about the ones who are still listening. The drooling fringe is often angry and lacking in both creativity and patience, which can lead to violence because of a failure to understand there is any other way. That violence endangers us all.

            The drooling fringe are Obama and his supporters... they had no idea who controlled congress, who the vice presidential candidate was and did little research about who zer0 really works for.

              Would you like a towel? Speak for yourself, I first became aware of President Obama as he addressed the 2004 Democratic Convention, I have been aware of Vice President Biden for the last twenty of so years and I know who has controlled Congress for every Congress dating back to the first Eisenhower Administration (83rd, Republican controlled), I can also name the Speakers of the House going back about 40 years. Now, do you really want to get into this? All of my reading for the last year has been politics and economics by such writers as Kevin Phillips, Andrew Bacevich, and James K. Galbraith, so lets not talk about dumbing down, shall we. And by the way, I have never seen an episode of American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, or Grey's Anatomy, and I haven't seen a Survivor episode in years, and the only reason I saw any was it was all that was on the main AFRTS channel overseas, it was also the last time I ever saw an episode of Hannity. Now, why don't you take your worm medication and take a nap.

              I can't tell you how many people who claim to be "conservative" who truly believe that the President is the ultimate leader of this country. He/she is not.

              As for "controlling Congress," the Republicans controlled Congress the entire 8 years of Bush's presidency. The Democrats had a very, very, very slim majority which gave them absolutely no control.

              And Mr. Obama "really" works for the people of the United States.

              Just because you find some bizarre story on the internet in your "research" doesn't mean that the bizarre story is true.

              Talk about drooling fringe! LOL! You might want to look in the mirror.

                Yes, that slim majority in the 110th is the reason so many Conservatives rip it as "The Do-Nothing Congress." They found themselves blocked at every term. Which makes blaming Barney Frank for the FannieMac/FreddiMac meltdown is hilarious. Someone in my office swore at me, yelled at me, and stomped out of the room when I told her it wasn't his fault!

            Wow! You might want to look up the term "critical thinking," it's obvious you have never come in contact with it.

            It appears, based upon your posts, that unless you've seen it on Fox or heard it from Rush, it can't be true. That's really, really sad. These folks are entertainers who will say anything they have to say in order to get people like you to believe them and keep watching. They are LAUGHING at you.

        Much of it fraudulent by the way... all American-idol viewers who know nothing about who is isn't and who he is being directed by.

        He works for corporate bankers who use the IMF/WHO/UN/WB to control populations and governments behind the scenes and cause war, strife, famine, pandemics, and monetary crisis... you know like Rahmbo dead fish Emanuel and Kissinger said 'never let a good crisis (that they created) go to waste'.

      The true goal of the Birthers is to force President Obama to prove to America that he is 3/5 Human.
      To show him as Weak & Feakless, Lacking the Tenacity of a Harry Truman.
      Now in comes Liz Cheney who's family history is built on Cowardice & Deceit.

        As long as the birthers do their dance, noone is questioning them about the real issues facing decision time in this country. It is very easy to be against something and all you have to do is scream the loudest. just don't buy any products FOX is peddling unless it is something one really needs. The Cheney's are cowards, as evidenced by their friendship with the coward-in-chief Hannity. Ducks of a feather flock together. Since Jan 20, 2009 12.01 pm they and the GOP, has done nothing to support a legally elected government, sworn in by the same Supreme Court that swore in his predecessor.

          and more to the point, Obama is set to bring his evil twin back to life and destroy us all! His twin brother was cryogenically frozen in 1945 and Obama himself was given a secret ointment to delay aging. All this, so he could wait for the right time to bring back Adolph Hitler, so they could rule the world together. Together they are going to show everyone how man never really walked on the moon, how crack cocaine was invented by the CIA to destroy black people, and for their final act, they are going to re-introduce JFK who wasn't really killed in Dallas. That was a body double set up by the KGB and CIA in collusion with the New World Order so we would escalate the Vietnam war because someone said there was gold to be mined in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
