I watch the NewHour every night. They run a list and photos of all the Americans killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I watch and hold my breath because I used to teach on a military base and a lot of my students went into the service, like their parents. I also look at how many of them are younger than my 23 year old daughters. The NewsHour does great stories on both Iraq and Afghanistan. Fox and Fox viewers should check it out.

We grieve for these people, now let me walk on their graves for political gain in an insane, pathetic attempt to bolster Bush's pathetic legacy.

What a bunch of tools. Do the fools at Fox think we've forgotten their cries of "America haters/appeasers/terrorist sympathizer/etc." emanating from their batshit channel, aimed at anyone who dare oppose the war in Iraq and questioned the loss of our troops?

This channel and its inhabitants are despicable trash.

I don't think these guys realized the Dana was slapping them down (ever so gently) by giving reasoned explanations for why it may appear that the news is such.

During the war, Fox was a flag waver and defender of Bush policies in Iraq and Afghanistan... now that the administration has changed are they critical of Afghanistan? I think they are projecting a bit too much

A Google Search clearly indicates that once again, Fox News and far too many Conservatives appear to be quite comfortable with lies and distortions. Must be another one of those rare talents "On Loan From God"

      Hold on a minute.

Weren't the folks at FoxNews some of the loudest complainers when it came to showing "bad news" from Iraq or Afganistan? Why can't they show all of the good stuff happening over there? They asked this again and again.

Of course, now that it's on Obama, they're more than willing to cover the casualties, and I dare say, they're right on this one. As a matter of fact, there have been a lot of liberal voices who have been talking about how we should have MORE coverage of the wars that are happening currently.

The mainstream media... over-exaggerated the terrible awful Bush war as though it were not necessary to defend the 9/11 attack on our country, and they ignored the victories that were gained with critical demoralization of war in general, and distain for American troops... But NOW... it's OBAMA'S WAR so it must be rationalized and over emphasized as really important and for the good of the Nation. What they want is to down paly the Traditional Patriots of this country and exalt their Global... 'One World Order' agenda. So if it serves their cause....it's OK WHAT HYPOCRITS!!!

Why doesn't Steve send his own kid? He's the only right-winger's son I can definitely say deserves it.

Can't wait to see if this talking point has legs. Will the rest of the Troglodytes pick it up? I distinctly remember Rush Limbaugh poo-pooing the casualties in Iraq, comparing them to the number of people murdered each year in American cities. Will he and his braindead acolytes, in a display of monumental hypocrisy, start ragging on Obama for the casualties in Afghanistan?

It wouldn't surprise me in the least. After all, remember their apoplectic seizures over the men killed in Somalia under Clinton?
