BECK: The best thing that you can do right now is to let Congress know that you are watching them like a hawk. You show up. You let them feel your burning gaze on them at all times. But here's the thing that I am concerned about. Your interaction with them needs to be respectful, polite, forceful, and peaceful.

I have been warning Congress now for a couple of years, and the time has come and passed for them to be able to learn from this. I have been telling them you have to listen to the people, or they will be in real big trouble.

Well, now let me give the warning to you. If anyone thinks that it would be a good idea to turn violent, think again. It would destroy the republic. I feel it with everything in me.

There is a great reason for hope right now, because I am telling you for the first time since I started saying this in the last couple of years, for the first time, I know it. I feel it. The American people are starting to wake up.

These people in Washington have no idea what they have done. They have awakened a sleeping giant. But just one lunatic, like Timothy McVeigh, could ruin everything that everyone has worked so hard for, because these people in Washington won't pass up the use of an emergency.

Look how the media ran with the abortion doctor killing. They tried to pin that despicable act on Fox in general, and specifically Bill O'Reilly and me. The only thing either of us have ever said is that there's no reason for that, ever.

I don't want to ever hear from our own Americans, anyone, voicing some sort of Muslim extremist-type justification as we heard in the circles after 9-11 -- "Well, I could see how they, you know, how they felt they had to do it. Of course, I don't agree." Absolutely not.

There is no excuse for violence. Our founders sailed across the ocean, battled killer storms, smallpox. They vomited for three months on a tiny little wooden ship with a bed sheet for a sail just to get a grievance before the king. They did that for 20 long years.

What have we done? Oh, I sent an email. I made a phone call. They won't even listen to me anymore. So the next logical progression is email, phone, a gun? Only for a crazy person.

If you ever hear someone thinking about or talking about turning violent, it is your patriotic duty to stop them. The only way to save our republic is to remain peaceful -- forceful but peaceful.

From New York, good night, America.

He is leader of the right wing loons. They all think he's some sort of Constitutional scholar with a firm grasp of American history. He's a high school dropout who gets paid a lot of money for his act.

Actually I think that shooter was an Asian immigrant, if I recall.

However, there was that one, basically white supremacist guy who shot up cops thinking Obama was going to take away his guns.

I wonder how much talking to he got from the front office. It could be that their lawyers prevaled and Becky Boy was made to understand his opinions could cost the network a whole lot of money. It is still all about the Benjamins and not at all about what is reasonable or ethical. And yes, I agree, he must have read some real whackjob fan mail to realize they weren't exaggerating.

Maybe the arrest of this lady had a little to do with it : Well, at least this time -- unlike the last -- no one got hurt:

A woman who police said had an XM-15 assault rifle, a shotgun, and 500 rounds of ammunition in her car was arrested and charged with trespassing after officials at the Air National Guard Base at Gabreski Airport called the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office to report that she was taking photographs on base property in Westhampton Thursday night.

Nancy Genovese, 49, of Lakewood Avenue in Quogue was charged with criminal trespass in the third degree, arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Friday and is being held at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility in Riverhead on $50,000 bail.

This wasn’t the first time Ms. Genovese was observed taking pictures of the base, according to the sheriff’s department. When Deputy Sheriff Robert Carlock arrived at the scene Thursday night, he was told by members of the Air National Guard that she had been warned for several weeks to stay off of the airport property. She had reportedly been seen several times taking pictures along the perimeter of the base. An off-duty Southampton Town Police officer recognized Ms. Genovese when she returned to the base Thursday night.

If you go to Genovese's MySpace page, you'll see that it features the nice woman at right and the declaration "Μολών Λaβέ" -- or "Molon labe" which is Greek for "Come and get them." This, as I've described previously, is a favorite theme or code word among the new militias organizing out there; they are declaring that Obama will take their guns away only by deadly force. As Wikipedia notes, it's the sentimental equivalent of "Over my dead body."

Genovese's MySpace blog declares, among other things, her utter admiration for Glenn Beck:

...we the people. I just saw GlennBeck tell it like it is!
Yes, he was firm and he is talking to congress, for all of us.
...we the people. I just saw Glenn Becks show, now on the 2 am show, missed it at 5 PM today.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Please do re post this video.

He is mad as hell and so are we. He is right and so are we.

Glenn Beck and FoxNews Channel have received some disturbing information about violence coming to Democrats at one of the Townhall Meetings this Summer, and he is just trying to "distance" himself from what he may know is coming. Scary and so sad because FoxNews Channel would "definitely" be "responsible" for any violence against ANY American politician. Many people have "warned" of FoxNews mean-spirited and nasty statements from Republicans (Conservatives, Right-wingers, GOPers) but "ratings" were so "high". And now Glenn makes this kind of statement. Hmmm, let's hope the right Authorities have been notified by FoxNews Channel. Just shameful, shameful, shameful.

      What an insincere load.

Becky earns his substantial paycheck working the loons into a lather and he spouts this? He just banked his 'don't blame me' insurance policy.

And notice how he hints of government retribution if one of his loyal loons goes off the deep end. The only retribution Becky will see is the guilty party receive a fair trial in a court of law. No camps, no round-ups... just the law.

There seems to be a problem with my connection. When I play the video, I hear this:

"Please don't turn violent ... FOX is here to keep you complacent! Just disgruntled, not violent. Hell, if you people started to riot, we'd probably be on the list just for being as stinking rich as we are ... uhh ... I mean, we'd lead the charge because we're blue-collar like you!

"But don't. Please don't. I don't want to keep getting linked to violence based on things I said-but-didn't-mean-and-was-just-sorta-postulating-about-but-not-really-y'know-wink-wink-nudge-nudge-no-kidding-or-am-I? ... get it?"

Beck is just trying to cover his ass. For months he has been whipping the knuckle-draggers in his audience in a frenzy by saying that Obama is a Marxist/Fascist/White-hating dictator who wants to destroy America. But now that there are rumblings among the brain-dead yahoos of armed insurgency Beck is in hasty retreat saying, "Whoe there boys! Now let's not get nasty." Beck has created a Frankenstein monster that he fears will go out of control and he and the other right-wing haters are getting worried that they will be to blame. (Gee, ya think so?) But I have no doubt that Beck--and Fox News for that matter--would love nothing better than to see a bunch of "patriots" try to overthrow the government. But they want to be able to say they had nothing to do with it. What scumbags!

He encourages violence, and then by using a few well chosen words, trys to dance away from it.
