I find it funny that Beck would mock the birthers, because he espouses so many crazy theories himself. It reminds me of his recent razzing of Whoopie Goldberg for questioning the moon landing, he raked her over the coals but then goes on about how there are forces out there that are going to try to stop him for revealing his great truths. I think the only reason he is mocking the birthers is because they didn't come to him first.

Are the 'birthers' an organized community that handpicked Lou(ny) Dobbs to further 'their' cause? I don't think so. It looks like the minions of MMFA have much in common with the effervescent Glenn Beck. That's gotta hurt!

I don't know if the birfers are an organized community, but the loonies didn't get their idea from Glennie Boy, so he is down on them. I have blue eyes, blonde hair, and I count the Pacific Northwest as my home of origin, that is more than enough to have in common with Glenda Becky. Now, why don't you off and tattle to him on his little watchdog site.

He had already established his own narrative that Obama is a marxist/socialist and he has honed that message to a fine edge. He was happy to let the Birthers run on their own. No need to jump on Dobbs' schtick. Now that his crazy fans are getting arrested with weapons the network lawyers are freakin out and he is making soothing sounds on the air, but it's too late. The seeds have been sown.

I think it's more practical than that. The birth certificate issue is verifiable. In this case, evidence proves Obama was born in Hawaii. It's a dead end.

But charges like he's racist, socialist, elitist, radical, fascist hell-bent on destroying America - those are a bit more intangible. Beck can successfully milk those for years by adding a well placed, "It sure looks like" and " I think."

I am shocked though, yesterday's call for non-violence followed by this dismissal of the birthers is practically a sea change for Beck (and I don't mean the cd of the musician with the same name).

I wonder if he got a call from somebody who set him straight on a few legalities, like the definition of "instigating", or if the arrest of the woman outside the Air National Guard base/FEMA camp was a reality check even he couldn't deny.

Sorry, hit the wrong key midword. We have seen several acts of violence in the last few months from extremists on the right aimed at the left or minorities, just like that FBI report documented to such scorn and derision from Faux Noise!

Read a bit of her blog. Why do these gun totaing maniacs always seem to gro wmore active when it's a Democrat trying to make sure the get health care, and they're patrioticlaly cilent when a Repubilcan Prez & Vice-Prez ACTUALLY take our rights away, and ride rough-shod over constitutional protections? I will never udnerstand these nut-jobs. If she had any principlas at all, she'd have been doing her thing for MANY YEARS now. But somehow, it's only been a problem since January.

The problem with conspiracy debunking: those who believe in the conspiracy will fortify their case with the beliefs of other idiot pundits and ignore the opinions of the other idiot pundits that do not adhere to the beliefs.

The fact that O'Reilly and Beck do not adhere to the birthers' beliefs is odd, but this will be easily ignored by birthers.

I just see Glenn Beck being himself. Whatever the issue is, either he agrees or he doesn't. If he doesn't, he resorts to name calling, since logic and reason seem mostly beyond his grasp. Is it surprising that he is not a birther? Perhaps, but it's not newsworthy.

I think that the arrest of the crazy woman taking pictures of the "FEMA" camp may have finally shown tangible evidence that the hatemongering and fearmongering of O'Reilly, Beck, et al, is dangerous may be coming home to roost. These folks on Fox are responsible for the deaths of several people, including Dr. Tiller. It's time they understood the power of their hate speech.

Nope. Becky and O'Racist will still claim it's not their fault and that they hold zero responsibility. Yet, "far left" "hate" blogs like Dkos have a lot "influence":

P.S. Glenn, why do you and your flunky talk like Kermit the Frog? Personally, I prefer to get news and political opinion from adults who speak like children's characters...but that's just me. Some people might get the wrong impression and think you have a few screws loose.

No one is falling for the BS! The ONLY reason why Beck & Bill O are distancing themselves from the Birthers and other crazies is because it all leads back them. LOL Folks are out there getting locked up for crazy radical nonsense and their internet footprints/usage can all be traced back to include the rantings of Fox News, Beck, Rush and other conservative media folks. I dont care how much they try to deny it but Beck, Rush and Fox News play a big part in the looney tune behavior in our country right now.

Glenn Beck makes a fair point here but in a stupid way, if your a birther, and you say the sun sets in the west I will need to see it to believe it. But I don't think Obama love this because he and his staff has to waste so much time on it.
