The capper to Loony Lou's rambling was introducing Mad Dog Malkin as a "delightful, delightful journalist."
There's a lot of funny in this clip.First, the reason Dobbs refers to Olbermann as "off his meds" is because he named many of the Dems who have received money from the Health Care Industry as well as the Republicans. (Dobbs later describes KO as "blinded by his partisanship").
The caller also notes the omission of Obama from the list of recipients. I saw the segment, and KO gave numbers for Obama's contributions from the industry.
Can anybody make sense of the clip within the clip, Dobb's remark about it being "absurd" that they wouldn't know about a birth certificate floating around the internet? Maybe I missed something, but I'm not sure what his point was. He seems to be responding to Olbermann's statement that Dobb's probably thinks the Kenyan phony doc is legit, but Dobbs doesn't really take a stand as to the legitimacy, only that it's absurd that he wouldn't know about it.
Countdown is one of a few hours a week of liberal programming going against hundreds of hours of Fox, am radio, and most of the mainstream conservative media defending the GOP. In those few hours, KO manages to do some actual "Fair & Balanced" journalism by reporting the agendas of (R)s and (D)s, and to a blind partisan like Dobbs, that's a sign of insanity. Hilarious.
In the meantime...
It's especially sad that these chumps are being used to prevent health care reform, as most seem to be people who could most use a decent plan. The elderly, obese, and mentally ill appear to make up the bulk of the town hall screechers, with most falling into all three categories.
And FTLOE, I know you're being a little facetious, that you probably don't wish a destitute painful death on those people. They're probably, for the most part , not evil, just horribly misinformed, a product of the conservative media and the ignorance they were taught.
I'd rather wish for their education, that they would be exposed to the facts, do a little work and try to figure out how they're being used against their own interests.
If, after that, they still insisted on working as volunteer shills for the health care industry, I'm with you. They can die young & broke . :0)
