Fox's Morris:  Freed hostages "maybe" should have stayed in N. Korea and "live[d] with the consequences"

August 05, 2009 9:42 am ET

Criticizing Bill Clinton's "awful," "ridiculous" trip to North Korea, Fox News political contributor Dick Morris said of the two freed journalists:  "I feel badly for the two journalists, but what were they doing in North Korea in the first place?"  Morris later responded to a question about "how were we supposed to get them home" by stating:  "Maybe they don't come home.  Maybe they go to North Korea and they live with the consequences of their decision to go there."

Dick Morris wanted them to stay in North Korea, where a good portion of the society is going hungry, and about a seventh of the population has died from starvation. In South Korean jails, the prisoners are not guaranteed glass in the windows, heat in the winter, or anything more than the smallest ration of kimchee, rice and soybean paste soup three times a day for their sentence, and South Korea has a much better economy and loves to eat. Foreign prisoners in South Korea get glass in their windows, heaters in the cells and a bed to sleep on. I can only imagine what prison was like for these women. I'm sure even the meager rations were smaller. Let's send Dick there to check it out, he won't have to stay long, just a month or two.

What is this scumbag yapping about? Bill Clinton did more good in 24 hours as a citizen that Bush did in eight years as president. It's no longer even "Obama Derangement Syndrome" it's "'Anything that's not done by a true conservative MUST be bad' derrangement syndrome!"

Hey Dick: WHY DO YOU HATE HUMAN RIGHTS?! WHY DO YOU HATE JOURNALISM?! WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM?! WHY DO YOU HATE DEMOCRACY?!

Just more nonsense from more cowardly, traitorous scum on the right. We should throw DIck Morris in a NK prison.

What's wrong with you people?! Just becuase he worked for Clinton once, doesn't make him a democrat, nor does it make him a liberal! If that were the case I'M a conservative republican, seeing as just about every boss I've ever had has been one!

I don't even care if he's REGISTERED as a Democrat! That's also 100% irrelevant! Got news for you: I'M A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN!!! Why? Becuase I voted that way up until 2000, and where I live you can still vote in either primary, so there's never been a reason for me to change it. BUT I CAN ASSURE YOU (and you can gather as much from any of my regular postings) that I'm NOT at all conservative or a republican.

He TALKS like a republican, He WALKS like a republican, He LIES like a republican, He'll DIE like a republican, He THINKS like a republican, He STINKS like a republican...

This should be the title of all of his books...I'DON'T KNOW 1, I DON'T KNOW 2. etc.

I don't think that Dick Morris is jealous of Bill Clinton, Prince. I think it's a far darker secret that motivates his vendetta against the former President. The truth be told, I think that he's been driven mad in his carnal lust for the man, and if he can't have him, well, then he'll do anything and everything in his power to bring him down. This also, naturally, explains his frenzied hatred for Hillery, as Dick's jealousy knows no bounds.

Morris, no doubt, drifts off to sleep each night to heavenly visions of Bill Clinton's toes wiggly around in his sucking, salivating mouth.

Yes, with a doubt "they" do hate President Obama and Bill that much. If Obama discovered the cure for cancer Limbaugh would be on the air that day saying how Obama is now cutting into the profit of the health care industry.

Unfortunately I don't believe that there is anything this admiration could do that would receive praise from the GOP talking heads. There job is to be negative everyday no matter what happens. The cash for clunkers program apparently went great, exceeded their expectations and talking heads are using it against Obama.

Notice how well it all worked out. You can be sure that everything was well planned. He would not have gone there if it wasn't 98% certain to work. Kim was delighted that everything went as planned and the captives were released the same day. The former administration was trying to do everything possible to tick him off. That worked real well didn't it? Republicans hate this because it shows Bill in the news again doing anything successful. He should have resigned the presidency and slunk off into oblivion.

Mr. Morris is silly. Of course, we do not negotiate with terrorist. Former President Clinton went of his own accord. We now know, the White House, and Pres. Obama were constantly in contact with the Clinton, (civilian), side. Wink-wink!

A well executed plan. Brilliant. Sec. of State Clinton, got the N. Korean government upset. Enter Pres. Clinton, chit-chat here, chit-chat there, every-where a chit-chat...

      I imagine:

Pres. Clinton hit ground, itinerary set, and words were spoken. Kim got acknowledgment, apology, and his pride.

Like anyone in power, pride is a key element in a persons profile. So what, if N. Korea got respect? That is the way to treat people, not with our pride. Love is to a degree, and pride stops kindness. That is all that Kim wanted, acknowledgment. Play to a tyrants ego, and words will stop violence.

Who does Mr. Morris work for, or his affiliations? Sounds like a challenge, for the pros.

On the Laura Ingraham show today-

Caller: "Considering that we live in an age of huge deficits, I'd like to know who paid for that big jet to fly to North Korea.."

Ingraham: "Hey, good point, me too!"

Caller: "I'd also like to know who paid to have Bill Clinton go pick up these two gals...I wonder if Al Gore offered HIS jet.."

Ingraham (laughing) "Yeah, maybe we should ask!"

      1. Soulless creeps like this caller only care about budget deficits when federal money is being used to rescue people. Want to drop bombs on Middle-Easterners? Who cares how much it costs- go for it!

      2. These women are not journalists, they aren't Americans. They are just "gals" who got what they deserved, and now it's cost us a lot of money to rescue them. Maybe next time they'll just stay in the kitchen, where they belong.

Oh and BTW, I didn't appreciate the totally predictable but utterly tasteless "Bill Clinton flies off to meet chicks" jokes that every single late-night yakker felt required to indulge in last night. Give it a rest, idiots.
