No way is this healthcare nightmare from the Obama administration is going through without a fight! The crybaby democrats are now moaning about disruptions to their one-way street 'townhall' meetings saying, in effect, "just shut up and accept it!". Just remember what Pelosi said after taking over congress; "Now we don't have to explain anything"--- talk about arrogance!

Healthcare nightmare? I'll tell my friend about this healthcare nightmare . . . I'm sure she'd love to tell you about her husband's healthcare nightmare. He has a life-threatening disease . . . his doctor prescribed a treatment which has been shown to help kick this disease into long term remission . . . his insurance company BC/BS has denied coverage for the treatment saying that it is "unnecessary." The real reason it was denied? Because it is too expensive . . . $16,000/month. So, who is deciding my friend's husband's healthcare? Is it the doctor? Nope, it is the insurance company. Fortunately, they qualified for a program created by the drug company. So, tell me about this healthcare "nightmare"?

You are listening to BS and stating it here with confidence that it is true . . . who's the arrogant a**?

You think your the only one with problems or have friends with problems? Millions of people have healthcare issues in this country you arrogant putz. The problem is not a one-payer system Tutenbama is proposing. Reform is necessary but you and so many others think the kind of health care Jr. is pushing is the be-all and end-all when the CBO is all over this with a red pen. Take your head out of your ars.

I'd suggest that you take YOURS out of Fox and the radio . . . these folks are lying to you, bubba. As for arrogance . . . try re-reading your posts.

Obama hasn't proposed a single payer system.

BTW, you are aware that the President of the United States can only propose policy . . . it's up to the Congress to actually come up with the plan and the money to pay for it. I realize that most folks like you believe the canard that the President is the "head of our government," however, you are incorrect. Try reading the Constitution. The President is simply the head of the executive branch, one of the three separate, but CO-EQUAL branches of our government. They each have very distinct Constitutional duties and spending money isn't one of those included in the President's purview. He can only request . . . it's up to Congress to determine the hows and whys and funding . . . it's up to the Judicial Branch to determine the Constitutionality. Civics 101 is most likely offered at your local community college.

Well, actually, they do. The stimulus package that the GOP would like people like you to believe is not working actually IS working. The recession which was left for Obama to clean up was much worse than expected. At one point, just prior to the Bush bank bailout last September, economists predicted that within hours, the world's economy was going to collapse completely. We were teetering on the edge of a major depression . . . we are slowly but surely moving away from that edge. The last two recoveries from GOP created recessions have been jobless recessions, so the unemployment rates are not Obama's fault, they are just the modern trend, especially in this country. We no longer make anything here . . . our economy is almost wholly based on retail purchasing . . . not a good economic base.

BTW, this mess would have landed in the lap of McCain also . . . no offense, but "no new taxes," and "the fundamentals of our economy are sound," wouldn't have done the trick, either. ANY President coming into this mess would be struggling . . . it took 8 LOOOONNNNNNGGGGG years to make this mess, it's going to take more than 6 months to clean it up.

These Republican Strategists can really lie about this. The various special interest groups, conservative talk radio and Fox news supports, organizes, and fuels this extention of the tea party movement.Funding from healthcare organizations makes this anything but grassroots. They should just stop lying and say its their strategy. Its not about doing anything for the "people" its typical divisive politics and the health care industry trying to save their huge profits under cover while saying publicly they want reform!!!

Ummmm, Obama isn't the one working on THAT PLAN . . . Congress is. Direct your hatred toward the right parties.

Our country is the only major industrial country in the world with no national health care plan. Our life expectancy stinks, infant mortality rates are higher than those in some third world countries . . . the cost of health care is bankrupting our economy.

Tell me what YOUR plan is?

BTW, did you know that you are already paying for National Health Care? Yep, for two other countries. Your tax dollars are going toward providing national health care for the citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Republicans have to lie when they oppose Democrats. They lie about their own plans to make them sound more liberal ("Our health care plan is good for the little guy!"), they lie about their opponents ("Obama was born in Kenya!"), and they lie about their opponents' plans ("Obama's health care plan will kill old people!"). When their lies are pointed out, the wingnuts deny that they are lying, attack the people pointing out their lies, and tell other lies. At the same time they self-righteously declare that they and they alone are the "real" Americans and vociferously attack the facts as if that will suddenly change reality to fit into their lies. When all this is pointed out again, they lie AGAIN and get angry about it.

The insurance companies are funding this and people that are getting screwed by the insurance companies are front and center howling about how horrible it would be to have better health care.
