I couldn't agree more. I will probably only reply this once because I get so bored with the left wing Obama followers who have no clue how government runs nor it's place. Or instead of praising him they would be embarrased for ever voting for him after what he is doing to "change" America. There are guidlines in our constitution on the role of government in our lives and he certainly is not following them. I am not a republican they dissapoint me almost as much as the left. But I am a conservative. I will leave you with these 5 truths my friends and slow witted left wingers who think a sharp tounge and labeling people some how make everything ok. "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy
            out of freedom.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work
            for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does
not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work
because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other
half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is
going to get what they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end
            of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." Adrian Rodgers,1931-2005

That is the talking point of the day...Why are these people so paranoid??
Because it is TRUE....Tomorrow, the invisible militia is going to "gather up" anyone who disagrees with anything the Liberals don't like. You are going to be thrown into those camps...you know, the ones you always talk about. And you will never be heard from again. And your entire family will be lockewd up also. But look at it this way. You won't have to worry about health care, Communists, Fascists, Socialism, Nazis, Gun Control and the other 1000 things you are afraid to lose. They will all be gone. You can then live blissfully in the camps and only have your FRIENDS around you to compalin to. But finally, you will be right.
Start packing..the Invisiblites will be there tomorrow..

Nixon's so-called 'enemies list' was tame compared to Obama/Emanuell's Chicago style thug politics hit list. Only 200 days into this administration and Rahm and Barack have created a 'snitch on your neighbor' program, a list of bluedog democrats that need some 'arm twisting' and a message to the American people that it doesn't matter that '53% of you don't like my healthcare reform but your gonna get it anyway' and an equal percentage 'don't like the cash for clunkers' program but we're gonna do it anyway. Obama is the most arrogant politician, without merit, I have ever seen.

Really, I haven't heard of any Republican having their home or their doctor's office broken into by White House blackbaggers. I haven't heard of anyone coming out and saying their taxes were being audited. I haven't even heard of any Conservatives complaining about illegal access to their passport records. All of which happened under Nixon and Bush. As to the Blue Dog Democrats, they are fair game for arm twisting, that is what they signed up for when they ran for office. Politics is ALL about arm twisting and sausage making-none of it is pretty, but it gets the job done. And after your "lock and load" comments to me yesterday, I don't think you should ever complain about arrogance or thuggishness to me or anyone else on this board.

"Only 200 days into this administration and Rahm and Barack have created a 'snitch on your neighbor' program..."

Only in the addle-brained wingnut imagination.

"...a list of bluedog democrats that need some 'arm twisting'"

Did you really put "arm twisting" in quotes as though you thought it was an Obama invention? Arm twisting of politicians is as old as party politics itself. What world have you been living in that you think it has traditionally been otherwise?

"...and a message to the American people that it doesn't matter that '53% of you don't like my healthcare reform but your gonna get it anyway'"

Gee, every time a poll comes out a politician should reverse course? Wouldn't that be "flip-flopping" or "governing by polls" or one of those other things conservatives always whine about?

"...and an equal percentage 'don't like the cash for clunkers' program but we're gonna do it anyway."

Really, because that program seems to have been so popular they are having to vote more money for it.

"Obama is the most arrogant politician, without merit, I have ever seen."

Crack open a history book and educate yourself then.

It's only 200 days in but the threats are there. Sen. Kyl from Az. was offered a veiled threat from Rahm. Kyl was told, after a bit of criticism of the president's performance, "I guess Arizona won't be needing federal funds for infrastructure". Obama promised transperancy yet, to date, the details of the cash for clunkers is magically unavailable. As far as break-ins, Rahm attempted to conveniently move the census department into the executive branch, a breach of the constitution. Talk about 'breaking in' to personal information on Americans! This administration is the most overtly corrupt in history. They no longer hide their arrogance. Democrats trying to shove this healthcare garbage down our throats are met with opposition at town hall meetings, but the folks asking honost questions of their representatives are referred to as 'mobs', so they can simply refuse to answer important questions on the pretense the 'crowd was an unruly mob. Well, get outa the kitchen if it's too hot!

"Asking honest questions"? That's funny, because the memo they put out described their itinerary as "Be Disruptive Early And Often" and "Try To 'Rattle Him,' Not Have An Intelligent Debate"
Well, it's nice to see the Republican commitment to civility was every bit as phony as their commitment to democracy.

When Code Pink organizes and when other left wing groups organize that is ok. But when a right wing conservative group organizes, it's wrong? They're a mob? Seems kind of hypocritical. There is nothing wrong with organizing. Wasn't President Obama a community organizer? Maybe the American people are angry and they want their government to listen.

How are they corrupt? Corruption indicates that something illegal has been done. Has it? No, it hasn't.

The details for the cash for clunkers program are on the internet. Use google, it's what it's there for.

The census hasn't been moved into the executive branch, but you can still keep talking about it, it's just not true.

Met with opposition? I've seen footage where the very small number of loudmouths who "oppose" this, are generally older people, making lots of loud noises, whereas the majority are there to find out more about it, ask real questions, and hopefully get real answers. Funny that the people most "angry" about this health care thing seem to be the people who already receive government run health care, the elderly.

When you are the President, guess what you get to do? You get to try and influence people from your own party to do what you want them to do. Look at Bush for prime examples of this. He was able to influence almost every Congressional member in his party to do what he wanted to do, almost every single time. You think that didn't take some "arm twisting"?

My gosh, you guys are dense. This is how the game is played, and guess what? You don't get to be president without knowing how to play the game pretty well, and also to surround yourself with people who also know the game. The chief of staff's chief duty is to be Obama's watchdog, and attack dog.

I haven't seen any "protesters" at these events ask honest questions. If they did, this wouldn't be an issue, but they're too busy yelling and screaming about socialism and nazism that they don't have time to actually, you know, ask a question.

Our health care system stinks. We pay more money, and get not as good care as any western country in the world. So we should just leave it as it is?

What town hall meetings have you seen?
I've seen the clips they love to show on tv where they shout down questions and answers they don't like... is that the democracy you are talking about?

Rep. Gene Green has his town hall meeting on you tube... if you want to spend the time to watch it, there is some shout downs and rhetoric early on... fortunately Rep Green talks to them like adults, although many talk like children.

The most telling question was (I'm paraphrasing)... "What will it take from us to get you to change your vote"

To me, that is telling... these people aren't looking for a discussion, they've made up their minds. They feel they are right, regardless of who was elected in their district.

            epk,
I seem to remember something about 900 FBI files being found in a First Ladies room that had been missing for quite some time before they miraculously re-appeared. During this time quite a few people who disagreed with that administration were audited by the IRS. How is Craig Livingston doing? Have we figured out yet in twelve years who hired him????

This is from citation is from the Independent Counsel's report and copied from Wikipedia: "The matter was investigated by the Whitewater Independent Counsel, who found in 2000 that there was no criminal activity by anyone in the matter, and that there was no credible evidence that senior White House figures or the First Lady had requested the files or had acted improperly or testified improperly regarding Livingstone's hiring." But the comment was about the Obama Administration, not the Clinton one. And the point can be made that Republicans hounded the Clintons for eight years and only managed to hand them with the dirty dress of a pudgy girl of questionable virtue, which while lacking character and judgement on the President's part, was not illegal.

From the same Wikipedia article, but from a NY Times story: "On November 3, 1996, the FBI informed the committee that no fingerprints of either the First Lady or any other named senior official were on the files." Bernard Nussbaum seems to have hired Mr. Livingston, although I am sure he rued the day. But still, the events of twelve years ago do not pertain to the Obama Administration. The article doesn't say anything about the files being found in Mrs. Clinton's bedroom and FBI anaylsis says she never touched them. This is just more Conservative smear if you ask me.

After the House passed the Cap and Trade bill, Michelle Malkin posted pictures and addresses of the 8 Republican House members who voted for this with a "Wanted sign" above it. First of all: "Nixon's so-called 'enemies list'"? The list was so called that because it was a list of his political enemies and was written as a part of a campaign that was officially called the "Political Enemies Project". The memo explicitly called Daniel Schorr, for instance, an "enemy". And in no way and by no comparison was it tame. The list was compiled for the purposes of targeting people with tax audits and prosecution. Setting up an e-mail address to collect and respond to false claims about the administration's health care proposals? Not even close. To call this a 'snitch on your neighbor' is to diminish the actual abuses of actual totalitarian regimes. Now a real totalitarian-esque abuse of government power would be, oh, I don't know, warrantless wiretaps of telephones and internet traffic, suspending habeas corpus, leaking the name of a CIA agent to the media, stuff like that.

"...a list of bluedog democrats that need some 'arm twisting' and a message to the American people that it doesn't matter that '53% of you don't like my healthcare reform but your gonna get it anyway'..."

You know, I recall well how much heat the Clinton administration took for supposedly being overly concerned with poll numbers and popularity. When public support for a Democrat's proposal is above 50%, conservatives argue that the politician is treating governance like a popularity contest; when public support drops below 50%, the politician is ramming the program down the throats of the American people. Public opposition to health care reform doesn't mean much if that opposition is based on rumors that the new legislation would mandate forced abortions and euthanasia, or that the plan is actually a way to implement reparations by a racist president who shouldn't even be president because he was born in Kenya.

If Beck believed half the things that he preaches I wonder why he has never left this country? Since he feels it is being taken over by the goverment why stay? I can tell you why.

Beck has made millions upon millions of dollars by being the mouthpiece of the far right wing and playing the fear card to prejudice and uneducated Americans.

As Don King would say only in America.

Only in America can a man make millions by trying to keep their citizens divided thru fear.

Attempts to impugn Mr Beck do not make the fact that your government is asking you to "turn in" names of people that are trying to give you information about the failing health bill. Why would they want to know the names of opponents of their plans? The current administration rushes through bills in the dead of night without giving the public time to read and debate what the implications (good or bad) are. Why don't you question their motives? Our system is built on discussion between proponents of both sides of the question.

Have you actually read the bill they are attempting to put through? Do you actually think that the government can run a public health system any better than they have medicare or medicaid? Do you want DMV style healthcare for your family?

At least listen to both sides, make your own decision. That's what makes America great, discussing and looking for the best answers.

The health care of all Americans may be better served if all Americans know what is being proposed.

I do believe that the current adminsitration is dividing this country more and more every day, due to their lack of the promised transparency. And yes, obama's statements of late (Gatesgate) do make him appear to be a racist.

He's so concerned with privacy, maybe he'll start asking that lawsuits on secret wiretapping go forward and all information will come out.

If President Bush would have asked for people mis-informing against the Iraq war, would this conversation look a little different? Just a thought. Everyone out there better take notice, the power you give the great Democrate President Obama will remain when a Republican administration takes over. This country was built on the principal of a weak central government and strong state governments. It is a dark dark path that we are heading down. This is not a party thing, it has to do with the 1st Amendment.

The last eight years saw a Republican President use a never-ending "war on terror" to strip Congress of power, as war favors the Executive Branch, and this past President was a proponent of the Unitary Executive theory. President Obama is not. Now, while you have stated things truly, you do have to remember that the greatest abuses of Executive power in the last 100 years have been by Republicans-Eisenhower, who sat quietly during the Red Scare, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush.

I just can't stand it. All of them (Rush, Glenn, Sean, etc.) take the whole flag@whitehouse.gov to mean that the white house wants us "reporting our friends" or 'snitching" as they all love to use. I'm sorry, I just don't see how these people can be so closed-minded ... or stupid. It's quite amazing. It's obvious to an intelligent person, that the purpose of the website is to identify misinformation, not people. The whole idea is to acknowledge specific instances where the public is being lied to, so that the white house can promote the truth, not blacklist the people lying about it. Quite honestly, nobody in that position cares one bit about Glenn or Rush or Sean, they just care about the lies they are spreading. Not only is it essential to dissect the media, and show, factually, the false information. It is important that the public be able to go to the white house and ask "hey, I saw this article online about how heath care reform will kill my grandmother, is that true?" and be confident that they will receive a response showing that their source has lied to them. Is that unreasonable?
