Medicare and Medicaid are government run health care. So to overhaul the whole system, it who just be the same, but much cheaper because the government will compete with private insurance agencies so the cost will be lowered.

Laffer's as big a clown as you are, and about the most appropriately-named "pundit" in the faux-opinion business...

Our current economic condition, and our dim prospect for the short and medium term future are the only possible result of supply-side economics. The economics of Laffer, Friedman, Reagan and Greenspan are ALL discredited by the reality right outside all of our windows. RW bed-wetters who can't admit they're wrong are the only people still clinging to that utterly failed philosophy.

It has been discredited. It doesn't stimulate the economy.

I love hearing the right crack on government run programs when they try to frighten people about healthcare.

Actually, I think the Post Office is pretty damn awesome. For less than 50 cents they will send your letter anywhere in the US in just a couple days?? That's pretty impressive! I can't remember the last time a letter I mailed got lost or destroyed.

Just for the record... Do the privately run companies like UPS and FedEx offer a comparable service at a comparable rate? No? So would that mean the government does the mail cheaper and more efficiently than private enterprise can?
