I felt sick when i heard Beck acftually saying that and putting out the suggestion someone should do exactl;y that. Every elected official, from this moment on needs to exercise caution doing anything. I cannot believe sane americans falling for this.

I just finished emailing a couple friends of ours to not send us the crap they believe in. I will probably never hear from these two formerly dear friends again but I feel it is not a loss if they actually believe this " killing american seniors " bologna.I thought they were sane.

Sorry to hear that as I can definitely relate... It's just gotten so insane...you wonder how some people you thought you knew could demonstrate such idiocy and lack of character. It's not about liberal versus consewrvative, left versus right...it's more about rational versus irrational.

Alas, there is a former colleague of mine who I just thought was salt of the earth passing along these emails (which seem like the cyber-communication equivalent of writing in crayon) and he's gone down a few pegs. The last time he did it a friend of his (who I didn't know) sent a reply with five reputable links debunking him. I wrote back the debunker and told him to keep fighting the good fight.

I am in the same spot. One of my oldest and dearest friends only reads the Drudge Report, listens to Rush, Beck, Hannity, & Savage all day long. We have never agreed on politics but it is different now. It seems like there has to be something really wrong with someone that would support these freaks. Then I feel guilty for judging. I just hate how mean and ugly the Republicans and Conservatives have become. I think they are treasonous hate mongers,

Hi Robyn. I have a friend in California who I've known for a long time. And I have to say that I'm starting to see her differently (in a not for favorable light), since she's hooked into Limbaugh, her favorite radio belcher. I used to be able to abide her , um proclivity, but it's getting to the highly obnoxious stage now.

Gees JJ, the frustration I feel about people not seeing through these weirdos brings the worst out in me. I find myself thinking things like, "I thought you were smarter than that, You really aren't the caring person I thought you were etc." I hate that about me. How can anyone respect someone that spews racism and hate everyday? It would be different, if I thought they really cared about the country and just had a different opinion about what was best for us all but they have made it scary. For the conservatives, it's all about who is power period. Their denial and projection is blinding.

Agreed. One of the many, many curious omissions of today's media is an unwillingness to address this possibility. Beck, Wiener, Lardbutt, Dobbs, and Hannity won't come out and encourage all the aspiring McVeighs out there explicitly, but they'll sure drop a lot of hints. Kudos for Maddow for having the guts to call them out on it.

If it's brought out in the open then the right wing talkers are forced to lighten up because then it's the topic of discussion and they don't want blood on their hands and have a lot of people turn on them. So they would be forced to chill...or else it would be clear that they WANT Obama dead.

Beck, Hannity, Rush & Savage do not give a hoot about having blood on their hands. They just do not and will not take responsibility for it. Or lose their job or money over it. That is why Beck has been adding that phony crap about not being violent, do it in a respectable manner etc. He adds that after or during his despicable, inciting rhetoric about taking over or taking back our country. While spewing lies about our his President. Insisting that everyone is going to lose all their rights, guns and freedom. He is despicable and insane as well as very conniving and cagey.

We won't even go into the hateful things that were said about the former administration yet that was never a concern that some crazy person was going to hear Olbermann told me to get them!

Liberal politicians made slanderous statements about our military & yet again no one was ever concerned that could some how cause an incident.

Yet if some crazy person goes psycho somehow it's a conservatives fault because they "spoke"

Olbermann never told anybody to 'get' anybody. He called out the previous administration on the many many un-American things they did.

There were no WMDs, there were no al Qaeda links to Iraq, there was no help for New Orleans.

There was torture, warrantless wiretapping of the entire nation, firing of justice department officials for political reasons, billions of dollars in graft for Halliburton, and an attempt to use the National Guard to illegally arrest American citizens in New York state.

I'm am not aware of a single slanderous statement made by any liberal politician about our troops. Can you cite any evidence for this?

Conservatives haven't just 'spoken'. They've used incendiary language, comparing health coverage and those who support reform 'Nazis' 'Socialists' 'Communists', and said that they are destroying America. They have called Obama's attempts to fix the vast problems left him by the most inept presidency in the history of this country 'Fascist' and have rooted for his failure.

If you do the research, you will find that Obama has faced more media opposition in six months than Bush II did in eight years. As a whole, the media is center right if not actively conservative, and has been for about 30 years now at least.

Perhaps Pelosi was a little uninformed on the reasons that the swastikas were being toted by the protesters, but facts are facts. Holding a sign with a swastika on it, whether it is held behind a "buster" sign or not, is an indication that the Nazi symbol is being held in conversation.

These protesters are not Nazis. We know that much, and Pelosi's not stupid to suggest they are. In fact, she never says they are. However, she is pointing out that people are trying to make the connection.

She's not calling out the protesters for being Nazis. She's calling them out for calling Democrats Nazis.

        Get it together, man.
