Comparing Obama to Hitler, OTOH, is perfectly fine . . .

What? First of all to my knowledge no one is comparing Rush to Hitler but if they are how dare he act insulted. He's been doing this to Obama for months and to Dems in general for years. FU Rush.

I wouldn't compare Rush to Hitler. Hitler had convictions and mostly lived by them. Surely, they were evil convictions. However, Rush is just plain evil without shelter from the excuses of an actual zealot.

I think Rush is more Neutral Evil.

He's not doing all this nastiness so much for ****s and giggles as for the purpose of boosting his ratings and serving how own personal agenda. He's shown that he really doesn't care who he steps on to get his way, and that's what NE is all about.

Money is the root of all evil and Rush wants the tree. He will say anything to get paid. And his arch bishops of hate, Hannity and Beck, will follow suit all the way. But I must agree the the point above. At least Hitler had his convictions. As screwed up as his world view was, he showed that he truly bought into the program he was preaching. Rush will just follow the money and try and position himself to look good while doing it. If every democratic initiative takes off and does well, he will be saying how he called it all along and it was the conservative push that help these things succeed. He will claim that strong opposition forced "liberals" to work harder at achieving goals that would help the American people blah blah blah....free market capitalism...blah....the greatness of America...blah blah...American exceptionalism (what ever that means).

Yes. And the German Democratic Republic was really Democratic, and the Peoples' Republic of China is really a Republic.

And GWBush's Clean Air Act (allow much more pollution) really cleaned the air, and the Healthy Forests Initiative (clear-cutting) was really good for trees.

ever notice something about limbaughs ratings?
in 1990 he bragged that he had 20 million listeners.
in 2009 he still has 20 million listeners.
either his ratings are wrong or he has not attacted any new listeners in almost 20 years. i know it's ot but i think it's interesting.

Those ratings are bogus. Unlike TV ratings, where they actually take into account people who watch entire shows, the 20 million only means that 20 million people tuned in at some point -- could be for all three hours, but it could also be for 30 seconds. Olbermann pointed this out a couple months ago.

And on the matter of yet another insane monologue, I guess according to Rush's rules, Pelosi and Dingell aren't allowed to mention that protesters are carrying Nazi signs? Makes sense to me! And if I'm hearing correctly, the Dingell one was a conspiratorial plot carried out by a staffer carrying a swastika, according to Rush -- citing evidence ... oh, right, he doesn't have any.

I'd love to see Rush hold a town hall and get harassed like some of the elected officials he's urging his bigoted listeners to shout down. That rock-throwing wimp can't even handle a debate with any of the people he takes potshots at, so it would be interesting to see how long it would take Spineless Rush to run for cover whining. When he filled in for Pat Sajak on a TV talk show many years ago, the crowd let him have it and got thrown out. He can dish it out but can't take it.

According to Arbitron, there is no reliable nor legitimate way to monitor radio listeners. Their best estimates are just that . . . estimates. Rush pulled those numbers from his backside, just like he does most of the other stuff he spews.

It's similar to Fox and its loyal Foxbots bragging about Fox's ratings. Less than 1% of the American public tunes in to Fox's primetime line up nightly. There are about 10 times the number of people who watch the 30 minute broadcast news programs than the three hours of Fox at night. Jon & Kate plus 8's first show of the season had 5 times as many viewers than the three hours of Fox at night.

            Perspective.

So, you're identifying yourself with the protesters when you say that Pelosi's accurate description of posters brought to health reform town halls? People who had used the swastika to label Obama as Nazi, and his health reform as fascism?

So, you've compared Obama to Hitler in fact and by proxy, but for you to be compared to Hitler is beyond the pale?

Just on the political side, Rush, do you know why you never hear about 'Hippy Nazis'? Because liberalism and fascism are opposed to one another. The Nazis in Germany were fascist. They wanted every citizen's life run by a strong central government working hand in hand with big business to rule every aspect of people's lives. That sounds more like... Bush/Cheney, to me. They let corporate interests write the regulations for their own industries. They gutted government oversight of business. They started a war of aggression. They annexed Arabia rather than the Sudatenland, but really that's a mere geographical quibble.

"honest capitalism"? Did you really say that out loud? We haven't had honest capitalism in this country since the mid 19th century.

Rush going back & forth and circling all around, crisscrossing, zigzagging trying to make what Pelosi originally said about the tactics, the protesters were using, to interrupt the town hall meetings and their swastika signs to insult the speakers to now being all about him because he protests, any and everything this administration is about. So now he has it down to, Pelosi personally attacking him personally for his beliefs.

He is a disgusting, vile, lying, hypocrite that gets paid big bucks to keep as many false hoods going as possible, against the President and the Democratic Party.

They already have a Limbaugh wire, that's enough for me.

He's a buffoon who feeds on the the attention and adoration by his moronic following.

He doesn't even talk about real issues anymore, him and Becky are the "Oliver Stones" of the Right. I've never listened to him, never intend to listen, and I'm not even going to bother looking at his nonsense on MMTV anymore.

I wish he was irrelevant, and his talk is certainly nonsensical, but I think the '90s should be instructive to everyone on the left about not responding to right-wing propaganda. Politicians should minimize responses to his buffoonery, but organizations like MMA serve a valuable purpose by debunking him.

Rush has never had a close relationship with intellectual honestly, let alone intellect itself, but he's gotten even crazier as of late. In the '90s he would mostly just twist facts or take people out of context and insult them; now he's flat-out making most of this stuff up. To me, it's indicative that he can't take the overwhelming response from MMA, Countdown, Maddow, etc. I'm hoping eventually enough people will see through him so as to render him irrelevant, but to state a cliche, he is more or less setting the GOP agenda right now and therefore must be scrutinized. I mean, I do know of former dittoheads who have come to their senses after reading enough rebuttals.

It's a miracle that in this country, a bozo like Rush can sit there spewing misguided pabulum while making $40 million a year. Pelosi didn't label Rush or the protesters as Nazis but rather pointed out that they, the Teabaggers, are waving Swastika signs outside of the meetings. If he cannot get this simple fact right, why should the listeners give an ounce of credibility to the rest of his drivel?

The Nazis are mentioned less in history books about WWII than on Rush's show of late. It's okay for him to call Obama Hitler and a Nazi, but then he claims Pelosi called the town hall mobs Nazis (which she didn't) because some of them were carrying swastikas (which they were), and OMG, how DARE she say that (even though she did nothing but state the truth).

Manufactured outrage. That's all he has. No facts, no threads of logic, Rush is the mad berserker of right wing self-entitlement to perpetual victim-hood.

It's pretty obvious that Rush is flaunting the stupidity of his audience here, as he often does. He is looking at his critics and winking, in essence saying, "See, I can tell these imbeciles anything, even an obvious lie or hypocrisy, and they will swallow it without question".
