BTW, Mike, I'm sure Jesus must be very proud of you. As we know Jesus had a special fondness for politicians.

For many of the people in the audience, the fear and anger is real. However, many of the people are taking their anger and their fears from the bilge being pumped into them by people like Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, and Beck, who get their talking points from ultra-conservative groups that front for corporations, and sometimes the points come straight from the corporations themselves. Sometimes, there are industry or party plants in the crowd. And sometimes, some of these people bring Nazi or Marxist images to display, and sometimes, these crowds were at tea party events in April. I have no problem with them being there to protest, but I will not be intimidated or shouted down when I attend my Congressman's town hall in two weeks. I resent being attacked by Dobbs for posting here, and I wouldn't vote for Huckabee if he was the only candidate on the ballot.

People aren't actually angry about proposed health care reforms...they are angry about what they are being TOLD by FOX News and others is in the proposals.

Exactly. There may be some "real" anger at these town halls, but if you subtract (1) Republican plants, (2)those who are angry because of lies they've heard from Republicans and (3)Troglodytes who already hated Obama anyway, there's probably not much left.

People actually have some genuine concerns and the Democrats have done a poor job explaining the plans because there are currently multiple versions and no one has read them all and very few have read even one of them.

The confusion has led to fear, much of which is most likely unfounded, but still not addressed in a coherent way. Both sides are lying here and it's hard to figure out exactly what the final product is going to look like and what little zingers are going to creep in that people were unaware of.

I agree that the Democrats have handled this poorly, but the Republicans have blatantly lied about it. They don't give a rat's ass about reforming healthcare... they just want to seize power again so they can f**k every thing up further.

And, once again, the Republican Party does the bidding of corporate interests by fooling regular people who don't benefit at all from Republican policies and practices.

Why do I doubt that the right wing crackpots that are yelling at these democrat senators and representatives voted for them?

Oh, and Mike, give up on the old tired jet story and Pelosi. It's getting pretty old, and not any truer today, than when the right wing crackpots started it.

How about a deal Mike, you give up the jet story, and I'll over look the fact that you think earth is 6000 years old, okay ?

huckabee says places like MMfA want to stifle free speach except for the extream left wing. really? seems to me that MMfA love that these wingnut have free speech. as a matter of fact, this site would not exsist without these dopes exercising that right. not one of them has heard the saying thats it's better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
so keep on exercising that free speeh guys. you just make MMfA stronger every time you do.

Chill free Speech ? hahahahahaha you make me laugh Mr Huckabee. You disdain for Pelosi is overwhelming and obvious. No wonder Mccain took you out in 2008 leaving you with nothing but FOX machine left. You don't sound like presidential material at all at the cost of a few cheap jokes about Pelosi flying right over the constituents she representas. hahahaha that was funny, like Bush 43 flying over the katrina victims and landing for a photo shoot.

Yes - Pelosi's district probably has fewer people who believe that the earth is 6,000 years old. Funny that she would take a plane to fly over the U.S. to get to Washington. I suppose she could have gone the other direction and flown over Hawaii and Kenya.

Listen to the cackle from Dobbs at the "squired around in jets" remark (at 1:20 in the clip). I love that reflex wingnuts have to bust a gut at the most meaningless, stale jokes.

Their sense of humor seems as backward-bizarro as the idea that they're the ones that want more free speech and democracy. "Euphemistacally named" organizations of the left. Ha.

Huckabee's terrible, that's why his show airs on weekends. If you're a Democrat, you should do everything in your power to try to get this guy nominated for the GOP ticket in 2012. It'd be just like when the Dems nominated Kerry.

Did Huckleberry ever go on a Bible Cruise Boat with some disgruntled fellow passengers who would be willing to lie about him? If so, you may be onto something.

How do you know it would be lies, Colonel? Considering the frequency with which "good Gawd-furrin' 'Crischins'" are getting caught with their pants down (often quite literally), I wouldn't bet against "Rev." Huckabee having some on the side himself...

I was just trying to stay with skbenz' theme. He was saying that Huckleberry could lose just like Kerry, so I thought a bunch of liars might be necessary. But you're right, FTLOE, Huck probably has some real stuff that could be brought up.

Its a fact that Rush hates Predident Obama. Hannity, Rush, Levin and others are working in concert to destroy the President.
One, only need to look at all of the negative hate speech that is spoken against the President.

That is a real concern. A few of those eejits sound like the equivilent of John Brown in their zeal. They'd probably think they were doing the Lord's work after all, so it'd be justified.

It's laughable to get comments from all these lunatic fringe of the so called right wing nuts.As for Huckabee, he's a failure and intellectually bankrupt. I feel sorry for him for whatever he's failed to achieve in life. I can commend him for losing weight but for the food stamps benefit he was liking on before joining FIX channel
