EMBED

One guest tells Hannity that protestors are "getting bad information from Fox News." Another tells Hannity, "The people at these town hall meetings, it's not really about health care. These words, these loaded words. ... These words like 'un-American,' 'socialism,' that you use, Sean, I think it's really code word for -- it's the new N-word, basically. They're scared of a black president."

I agree with that, Sean...so do many other people aside from the three who raised their hands. Get used to it, Sean...thinking people elected Barack Obama. They are not going to let the ignorant goons on the right like you and your protesters take away the momentum for change. The same Republican base that idolizes Dick Cheney; that still believes that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11; that still believes Barack Obama never produced his birth certificate; and who still can't accept the fact that Americans elected a black President; are the same pepole who comprise your ragged bunch of protesters.

Most people I know, even in this conservative area, believe that. The only people who are using the socialism and un-American words are the undereducated bigots who watch and listen to folks like Sean and Rush. They see a black man in the White House and they are enraged that something so "un-American" could happen in THEIR country. Well, it's MY country, too, and I'm proud of the fact that the people of this country FINALLY voted for someone of intelligence without looking at the color of his/her skin first. It was about danged time.

I don't agree that 'socialism' is code for the N word but it may for some people. More universally it's code for 'everything Democrats do'. Does not matter WHAT it is. Even some bill that reduces the size of gov't and reduces taxes they would still find a way to fein outrage over it and call it 'socialism'.

Yes, yes, we know, low taxes for gazillionaires, but not for thee. Go back to the Bush era, little troll. It's the only place for you.

And I'll bet you that the typical, outraged protester has no clue what socialism really means...or how, in order to stay alive and survive, nations must adapt to changing times and not be bound by rigid ideology. In other words, a country has to do what it has to do in order to take care of its people. Who cares what it's called so long as the basic fabric remains intact?

Of course they don't know what socialism is. That's why so many of them are hicks on Medicare or straight-up welfare, stirred into a lynch mob by robber barons who consider them subhuman for having less money.

The teabaggers also carry signs depicting Obama as a Nazi or as Hitler, when they likely have no idea what it is about Obama that allegedly likens him to Hitler. All they know is what they're told, and what they're told is that Obama is the second coming of Hitler, and it's good enough to bring them out in droves. The teabaggers and the right-wing professional liars who issue their marching orders can't afford the stigma that comes with outward racism, so they need some other branding that somehow reverses the stigma, yet still evokes paranoia and fear. Nazi references fit the bill perfectly.

Is it possible that people really do not like this thousand page health care plan? Do you think that if we don't agree with you then we are not intelligent?

Yes, that's possible, but does having a disagreement or a disliking of a policy proposal automatically mean that whoever proposed it is Hitler reincarnated? Your usage of Nazi references is what makes you unintelligent, not your disagreement. You don't know why health reform is the new Nazism, you've simply been told that it is for the sake of associating Obama with unspeakable evil and being able to cleanse yourself of the stigma of using racial stereotypes.

Nancy Pelosi is the one who associated people with Nazis in the public forum.

They couldn't find Germany on a map, just like Iraq and Afghanistan.

The rethugs control the ignorant masses and THEY are all too willing to go to war for them, pay all the taxes and simply do their bidding.

            It's sad really.

The middle class were becoming too educated, informed and therefore out of control.

What was needed was another burst in the bubble, wall street was unaffected, unions have dramatically diminished and the middle class is whipped into shape again.

The most startling thing is that they're all screaming that they want their country back. They don't like what they see today.

They pine for the days of Bush. When more of America's wealth moved up the chain to the wealthy than ever before. When salaries stagnated. When more of the middle classes wealth just disappeared into the pockets of corporate America. Days when we could invade any country on the map, just because they were there.

              Those were the days!

What gets me is that Hannity and others are using words like "Socialism" instead of looking at the issue with the idea that "if we can call it socialism, we don't need to discuss it."

YES there are code words being used...like uppity to describe the Pres and 1st lady...mightas well say the rest!!!The use of words like marxist, socialist, facist are used almost synonomously which are cover for racist attacks.Would Hllary Clinton or John Edwards be called the same things??I don't think so because they are white..the line would be different!!!The issue of Obama programs being reparations has been raised...a ludicrous assertion by Beck and Limbaugh!!!!Teabagger,Birther, and health care protests featured racist signs!!!Its more about not accepting a black President than anything else regardless of the words used. How can the President and DEMOCRATIC party be compared to Nazis????Then when its pointed out that protesters carried signs saying that, the right wing spin is to say that the left started it!!!
People like Hannity never see racism against minorities as being .This man actually said he never heard Rush Limbaugh say anything racist when he does it almost daily!
