Additionally we have to make these decisions already, the government and private corporations already assign dollar values to human lives. Glenn constantly refers to 9/11 and as we all know the government decided to pay loved ones who lost a family member in the attacks. They calculated how many dollars each life was worth. Young people were worth more too. Even more against what he stands for, high-income victims were worth less in terms of settlements.
Dr. Emanuel is staunchly against euthanasia and yet is being labeled Dr. Death. There's no way to seriously talk about medical ethics and end of life issues without making statements that could appear irrational when taken out of context.
