I know one group that would take umbrage to that. That would be the VFW.

Show up, and protest, but I'm thinking they'll show anyone the door who is loud, or carrying posters at the actual event. I'm sure there will be some folks outside protesting a whole host of issues. There almost always is when the President travels anywhere.

Oh Doocy. Did he forget that conservative protesters have jobs to go to on a Monday and only liberal protesters don't have jobs? I never forget what is taught to me over the years of watching war protest coverage on FNC.

I had to laugh at this during the campaign season. Why?

Well, at McCain and moreso, Palin rallies, there would be protesters there from "our side" of the equation. The people standing in line to go INTO the rally, would be shouting across the road at the protesters saying things like, "Get a JOB you socialist!"

Seeming to forget that, they were not at their job either.

I hope they show up so they can continue to be ignored. Elections have consequences...you are a permanent minority for the reason. Enjoy.

Sound like the 'hand-made signs' from FreedomWorks made it to Arizona.

I wonder of the vets will rethink their service to country after they get a load of the drooling malcontents they fought to protect.

Well being a Vet Group they understand the meaning of the words
      Commander in Chief
As weather they like him or not they understand the command structure Which means you salute the rank you do not have to like the person but you respect the rank.

I wonder how Doocy would like it if I showed up with a sign for single payer care?

Personally, I like it when republicans show up with hand made signs. You learn so much about a person when you see his wit on paper...

True, that is what is worrying me about the current round of descent, all of the images and some of the rhetoric is taken from a revolution that toppled the government of the colonies. I was very happy that Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were willing to go to war with the British Empire to establish our fine country, but I don't want some conservative nutjob to topple the government to replace it with a Mormon Theocracy or a wild west anarchy. I do not want to see the country destroyed to save it.

Most of the "Patriots" that died in the Revolutionary War could not spell either, so does that mean their sacrifice was less valuable than a librarian or sixth grade English teacher? Remember, everyone has a right to be heard whether he can spell or not. I don't think the Mormons are going to take over anytime soon, but they may be the only ones left to pick up the pieces.

I rarely pick on people for spelling because I am a terrible speller. I wish this site had a spell check, I could use it. No, the illiterate patriots weren't worth less to me than the librarians and teachers, however, this conscious use of revolutionary imagery is bothersome, it was a successful revolution carried out by 20% of the population. I do not want my country stolen from me by ultra-conservatives would take my rights from and then call me the elitist fascist because I am opposed to them. Mormons do believe they will rescue God's chosen country from a crisis. I know enough about Mormons to know that I don't want to live under their rules. They may practice nearly whatever they like in their own homes, but don't even think of putting it on me!

Vetrans already have a publicly funded healthcare plan. Why would they protest against others having the same thing?

Health care for the military is a dubious thing. Many of the service members say things like "Well, you get what you pay for.." I spent ten years overseas and I actually opted out of the care on base most of the time because it was so hard to get or they weren't prepared for a civilian or they were just plain rude. I took my children to a local medical school where they were seen by an American trained doctor with years of experience, versus the P.A. or the Captain fresh out of Medical School.

Is that the same as vetrans health care? Because even Newt Gingrich admitted that the VA works well.

I knew a navy vet who went to Walter Reed Hospital for cancer treatment and she died; people said she wasn't as dilligent as she should have been about receiving care and pursuing options. I just don't know. For me, I try to stay healthy and avoid doctors as much as possible. I really believe that old ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. I think it works well, but it all depends on who you are dealing with and making a personal connection. If your doctor likes you, you get better care. If you don't connect with the doctor, you can fall through the cracks. I also know that officers are treated better than enlisted, but combat vets are treated with a great deal of care and concern because their sacrifice is respected, regardless of their rank. I know some people scam the system and some providers will accuse an innocent person of trying to scam the system. Your military medical experience could be a very hit or miss thing each time you go. But, again, I would rather see some system like it in the civilian world than the lack of coverage experienced by 20% of our population currently.

I am a Vietnam Era veteran. I wont go to a VA hospital. The VA has not spent a dime on me since I got out more than 30 years ago. Have you ever been in a VA hospital? Maybe you should take the time to visit one, it is very possibly indicative of the federal health care system we are about to force on our kids and their kids. Be careful what you wish for!

I am a disabled veteran and the only way I can get health care is throught the VA. I think all Americans need and deserve health care if I was there and a single protester got in my face I would to him to leave me alone or I would sew him for herassment.

I would sew him for harassment.
I wonder if that would keep him in stitches...
