(So would Beck, I'd wager!)
No truer words were ever spoken on the subject! That's our Glenn, a real hemorrhoid, that just won't go away and insists on making his presence known.
Look at our changing cultural landscape over the last 30 years. Who are now our heroes, role-models, etc... It goes beyond politics and it ain't pretty.
Most big advertisers are insurance and drug companies.
The monied class doesn't want to arouse the "rabble"
The difference between what they did and what advertisers are now doing with Glenn Beck is that the news advertisers wanted embarrassing truth removed from the broadcasts. Beck's advertisers don't want to be associated with racism, hatred and lies.
At least not in public.
a sad state of affairs for the network news outlets when a comedian is the most trusted news source in America. It's true.
Based on what?
Outcomes? Nope. Not life expectancy, not infant survival, or cancer survival.
Efficiency (ie, getting what we pay for)? No. We spend more than anyone and the numbers show our results are not the best.
We don't really have health care in this country, anyway. We have sick care. We need health care.
Based on what?
We have more MRI machines per capita than anyone else?
And wasn't it subtle of Beck to have a huge ad for his latest "book" over his left shoulder?
Classy guy - top to bottom...
"You are a carbunkle on the backside of humanity."
You know, given how the likes of Beck and Limbaugh have such problems with their backsides - it's rather apropo, don't ya think?
