If Republicans would spend as much money and effort coming up with sound policy solutions as they do fabricating propaganda, they might actually provide something constructive.

Oh, wait... I forgot. Their guiding principle is to shrink government down to a size that it can be drowned in a bathtub. Never mind.

Did you see the town hall meeting Hannity and Luntz did on Hannity's show about health care reform? The panel was 15 people that voted for Obama and 14 that voted for McCain. All opinions were offered and discussed. I thought it was a very good panel.

It was a good panel and both sides were equally represented. Sean even let the lib's talk and get in a couple of jabs. I wish all discourse could be like that.

So, having a propagandist on your show to talk about health coverage reform, FOX? I guess that whole 'fair and balanced' thing has pretty well been thrown out, eh?

How can it be a government option if it's the public who gets to choose whether or not to participate? Before any arguments are made about the public option driving private insurance out of business, look at FOX! If this really was a 'grass roots' movement against lower health care costs (why would we be against that?!), then there will be PLENTY of people sticking with private insurance. More than enough to prevent any companies from going out of business.

Truth is, 90% of Americans want coverage reform, however happy they are with their current insurance. Why? Because they want their rates to go down, that's why. Whatever you want to call it, it's a good idea, and that's the problem. How do you fight a good idea? With slander and lies, by crafting false names and predicting dire outcomes. I for one ain't buying it.

Great, great, great comments here. Just wish we can get Democrats to stand up and stop discussing the Republicans' talking points about HealthCare Reform. Did you see Rep. Barney Frank's TownHall Meeting last night? Rep. Frank was "AWESOME". Thanks.

This is a point well-taken. As Barney Frank said to the woman last night: Trying to have a conversation with you is like trying to talk to the dining room table. This, I thought, was a very effective way not to fall into the republican talking points. As i would put it: We can't talk about the bill by addressing issues that are not in it.

Americans know how these people at FoxNews Channel creates 'made-up' smears, lies and mis-information involving ANY issue from Pres. Obama and the Democrats, and yet these same Americans continue to give FoxNews Channel high ratings. Okay, nothing here right?

Hmmm, remember when Dan Rather was fired from CBS Nightly News for reporting on a memo (that did not exist) about former Pres. Bush? So, why does FoxNews Channel ratings hit the roof with their 'made-up' smears, lies and misinformtion about Pres. Obama and Democrats? Now is there something here? Just saying... Wink, wink. LOL

What is the issue here!? Are we taking issue with semantics!?

At work, I currently have a: HMO option or PPO option.

If legislation passes, next year I'll have what?
HMO option, PPO option, or _______ option.

Whether we call it "public" "government" or "federal" option, we are all taking about the same thing.

Its only a big deal, if you are afraid of such "choice" in that case its not Luntz you are worried about.....

Boy am I hungry, now. I gotta get me some government health regulated breakfast in me. Then I'm gonna get in my government safety regulated car and drive on the public, oops, I mean government roads to get to work. I need money ya know. So I might have to get some that's in my government insured bank account.

All of the GOP tactics is evidence of their coersion to protect their financial endowments, log-rolling, and benefits they receive from these private health care installment policies. They are willing to sabotage government efforts that not only deal with Health Care Reform, but financial structure and modesty attempts. When considering the national debt and the United States of America's dependency and critical position of maintaining it's status as a global power, this issue is extremely significant because of the cost control, financial waiste and fraud, as well as reserving assets to direct towards other programs.

Someone should argue from the perspective of "if the GOP really wanted to give back control to America and re-poosition us, then they would not insist on elusive and imaginatory arguments. What they would do is figure in language to guard the Real Americans they say are being harmed." Where is the intellect vs. tactics to disrupt the advancement and upgrade to the current health care process?

I have to say, with all the ex-clintonistas in this administration I would have thought you'd have some better wordsmiths also.

I'm no fan of Willie, but he controlled and commanded the architects of spoken word especially when it came to policy.

Have to fault Rahm "They're Dead" on this one.

Note to Democrats: emphasize the word OPTION. As it stands, people have to crawl on their belly to the insurance mafia and pray that the for-profit mob will cover them, and if they get sick, pray again that a "cleaner" doesn't dig up a preexisting condition they forgot to list on the application and use this as an excuse not to the pay their medical bills.

In light of that truth, an OPTION, any OPTION, isn't such a bad deal, unless that OPTION is death.

That is the fear on our side. There will be NO OPTION when ObamaCare gets rolling with a head of steam. Private insurers will not be able to compete and we'll all be stuck with ObamaCare whether you want it or not.
