Really? They're going to filibuster the Democrats?

Because that's what the "nuclear option" was two years ago when the GOP came up with it.

The nuclear option, huh? That would make this, let me think a moment... World War 12? Or thereabouts? Just because if budget reconciliation is indeed a nuclear option, the Republicans have dropped that particular bomb many times since Bush II was first appointed to the presidency.

As for people shoving things down other peoples' throats, FOX has been busily doing that with misinformation since Obama first arrived in office. At least they well finally be personally familiar with a topic they are covering!

You know... I said this before in an earlier post,

Considering how watered down the public option is at this point, I would hope that the Democrats vote this disaster down and go with a much simpler plan...

Combine Medicare and Medicaid and then expand it to every American that wants in!

President Obama claimed a couple weeks ago that the total cost would be roughly $100B a year for a public option... which comes to roughly $335 a person (A family of five would pay about $1300 or so per year) taken out of peoples paychecks over the course of the year...

Set it at a sliding scale based on ability to pay and as things improve economically, more and more people will be able to pay... and as people get to retirement age they stop paying into it as is the case now.

This can all be done in less than 6 sentences on a bill

I know that more would be involved... but I think you all get the gist of what I'm talking about

Not only is this not the so called "nuclear option," FOX News was right behind the Reps when they were threatening to use the nuclear option and when they used reconcilliation.
