Wow... what a racists and idiotic comment.

According to the dept of Health and Human Services

Latino Americans represent 14% of the population and 30% of the uninsured. Which is the greatest disparity of all ethnic groups.

btw... whites make up 67% of the population and less than half of the uninsured.

Rush, I vowed to stop commenting on your nonsense, but your ignorance and racism drove me to this.

Maybe Boss Hogg thinks "Latino" is a nationality, like there's an island of Latinostan off one of our coasts.

Sure, that sounds far-fetched to anybody not wacked out on Oxycontin for years, but not any weirder than a lot of Rush's ideas.

It's totally ridiculous -- but it actually makes MORE sense than a lot of what Rush says.

Ok rush her it is, you cannot say that no one told you:
HR 3200, Title II, Section 246 states: "Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States" Illegal immigrants will not be covered by Federal funds. Period.

This actually has been the law since 1996 with the passage of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconcilaition Act (PL 104-193). I refer you to Title IV, Section 401, (as defined by Section 431).

I'm glad you figured it out Rush. Why are Latino groups lobbying for the health care reform bill if illegal immigrants aren't covered?

I guess in Limbaughland all Latinos are illegal.

"I guess in Limbaughland all Latinos are illegal."

I was going to say something along those lines myself, but you got there first. Most Latinos living in the U.S. have been Natural-born Americans for generations before my ancestors got to the U.S. in the early 20th Century, but I don't get smack for being their descendant.

Yeah, isn't it kind of the other way around? Anglos illegally immigrated into the largely Latino Southwest, right? And that's the country we know today as Aztlan!

When you get right down to it, much of the Southwest, from Texas to California was stolen from the Mexican people in various wars and uprisings. The Texas settlers had agreed to convert to Catholism and be loyal Mexican subjects when they rebelled. And California became the place to get after gold was discovered in 1848 and then we had to fill in the rest of the area, so we could control from sea to shining sea. If you read the book "Two Years Before the Mast" by Richard Henry Dana, you get a great look at the lack of importance of a sleepy little Mexican village some eight miles inland from the beach that he was camping on for most of a year. That little village is now known as Los Angeles.

Great points. What a shame that the American Indians did not have access to TV, Internet and radio to spew their disappointment when Anglos illegally immigrated upon their land.

Land claims in history are always a sticky subject. Someone always wins and someone always looses, and it stinks to loose. We stole Hawaii, too. But, Hawaii would have been taken by someone because of it's location in the Pacific, the question then becomes, did we do right by the people who live there? Would they have been better off alone, probably not. And would I want to give Hawaii away, no!

Nearly every land has been over thrown by invaders many times. America probably less than any of them. Even though I am mostly Anglo, I just never get over that superior attitude of entitlement, by so many white people. Yet they accuse the minorities of having their hands out. As if it is okay to take by force but do not ask for help.
Still, in spite of it's faults or past mistakes the U.S. is probably one of, if not the best country to live in.

Because, my idiot friend, "Hispanics/Latinos/or whatever term you use" who have been in this part of the world (AKA "nation") longer than Caucasians, are as opposed to illegal immigrants as Lou Dobbs.(Okay, slight exaggeration there).
One friend of mine who was clearly Hispanic and had served in the U.S. Army once referred to UDA's as 'wetbacks'.. maybe a term you should adopt along with Nazis, etc. There is one truth hidden among the racist wing, and that is those whose families spent time, money and work to legally come into the United States do not like those who 'jump the fence', even though the UDA's do live a life of constant fear and are exploited by employers who use their status as a virtual club to control them.

Because a lot of them are american citizen's and some have even served in the Marine corps. I realise " serving the country " is a foreign concept to you. We will have a latino astronaut on Monday that went from migrant farm worker in California to earning a degree and becoming an astronaut. Took a while but he did it. That alone is much more than you will ever achieve, a rich man with influence but a hopelessly intellectual pauper.

"if illegal aliens aren't going to get obamacare, why are all the latino groups lobbying for it?"

      a)because they're racists
b)because they want health care, don't have it and are tired of using ER as their primary health care facility paid for by everyone else.

once again, rush displays his racist views in public without consequence. it has to stop, just like the N#%%@r jokes of the '50s had to stop. this is not OK.

folks I live in the southwest and have many latino friends and for your information they are just as divided as the white population in this country on immigration reform and healthcare reform. And as for Dimbo and his bigoted view that if we don't do something about illegal immigration that we whites will lose our majority status that is going to happen with or without immigration reform.

For sure Rush goes over the "edge" sometimes, but more times rather than not it is simply for dramatic effect. I received a letter from the League of United Latin American Citizens, which is the oldest Latin American Organization in the US, who were very much offended by his direct comments, however, he has the right and freedom to say whatever he would like, which cannot be said for some countries in Latin America. "TRUTH" cannot and should not be defended nor promoted because it simply is TRUTH, while I am sure that RUSH's opinions are amplified for impact, it is a shame that with all of his influence he cannot support our Latino brothers and sisters, especially the League of United Latin American Citizens, there are many who are incredible human beings.

      all my best, no stress,

Megadittos (forgive me) to all above comments. Besides his facility with promoting and endorsing bigotry of various kinds, he'a a master of saying things that, when unexamined, kinda seem to make sense - especially to his typical fans: those predisposed to focusing their anger and self-righteousness on imagined monolithic groups such as Latinos - Liberals - the Democat (sic) party - welfare recipients, etc. Sometimes it's remarkably convoluted and requires 10-15 minutes to "prove" and somtimes very simplistic and puerile in its assumptions: Some Latinos are here illegally; many Latinos support Healthcare Reform; therefore, Healthcare reform must include free care for illegal immingrants. Not far from the childlike logic of, "I stepped outside - it started raining - therefore, my stepping outside must have caused it to start raining" -- but with a nice dollop of racism added.
