        In any case, I think is was the previous president who was calling on volunteers to die in order to satisfy his vanity and sense of machismo...

          also improved quality of life by raising active duty pay and benefits for retirees.

          OBAMA

          His FY 2010 VA budget proposes a 15.5 per cent increase in funding over 2009, the LARGEST increase in thirty years.

          LIMPBALLS

          Believes that US servicepersons who support a withdrawal from Iraq are "phony soldiers."

            Limbaugh gives MILLIONS of his OWN Money to Military charities. But I forget you libs are only generous with other peoples money.

            FYI every president has given active duty a pay raise Obamas FY2010 Budget give the military its SMALLEST raise in 30 years.

            Obama is also cutting missile defense (who needs that with Iran and N Korea testing missiles and nukes) and the most advanced air to air combat fighter ever made.

            Enough with your phony soldiers BS that was severely debunked he was talking about ACTUAL PHONY SOLDIER ie people who claimed to be in the military and were not.

              One last thing to add to your EPIC FAILURE

              $453 billion – the average annual defense budget for the nine years before Clinton took office.

              $377 billion – the average annual defense budget during Clinton’s time in office, a 16.7% decrease.

              $496 billion – the average annual defense budget during Bush’s time in office, a whopping 31% increase not even including the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, which are largely funded through supplementals not included in the official defense budget.

              And don't leave that advanced air to air combat fighter out in the rain. Name a hostile airforce that we would need an F22 to supress.
              Prove you got any real infomation on that ACTUAL PHONEY SOLDIER.
              Check your figures on political contributions by the military for the last election cycle. They went democratic by a good majority.
              I have both military and civ DOD experience. Somehow I don't think you'll be impressed.

                IT may not exists now but that dosent meant there wont be a need for it in the future. No need to wait until the need arises. Better to stay head of the curve. The funnies part of all this is if the future need arises for a air superiority fighter and we don’t have one you libs will be screaming about how we are not equipping our troops with the best weapons. FYI the stealths had major problems in the beginning but they seemed to have worked out fine. As fare as it being left out in the rain I could find absolutely nothing about that claim care to back it up?

                And FYI Iran has been testing Missiles it not a big secret just use this new thing called Google. And they may not have nukes yet but there well on there way. Not to mention N Korea already has nukes and missiles. But hey who need missile defence well just talk nice to them and Im sure they will play nice.

              Is that why Obama received NEARLY SIX TIMES AS MANY DONATIONS FROM US SERVICEPERSONS OVERSEAS THAN JOHN MCCAIN?

      These lies are getting more and more transparent. "Obama's not a citizen!" "Obama's going to kill old people!" "Obama's going to kill veterans!" Soon it's going to be "Obama will kill your children while you sleep!" The wingnuts are getting more and more extreme and ridiculous. It's hard to accept that, deep down, even their defenders don't know this; they just hate Obama so much that they will say anything and defend anything, no matter how insane, just because they hate Obama. They use lies like this as an excuse for their own hate, but their hatred is actually the cause for these lies. When presented with facts they blither and deflect and project their own tactics onto everybody else, but how many people are actually so completely disconnected from reality that they truly believe this kind of garbage rather than just parrot the talking points as cover for their own bigotry and their absolute unwillingness (is that a word?) to face facts that they don't like?

      IMHO, such deliberate ignorance and disregard for reality is worthy only of contempt. I have no problem with people disagreeing with me; in fact, I expect it. But deliberately using lies to support one's position reveals weakness in both the person lying and in their argument.

"Obama's going to decrease our reliance on foreign resources" "Obama's going to give us low-cost, worry free healthcare!"       Limbaugh is lapsing further and further into lunacy. How could any person in his right mind believe a word that Rush Limbaugh says? I reiterate that being a fan of Rush Limbaugh is not an indication of political philosophy...it is a character flaw.

        Chris Wallace was on the Mike Gallager show this morning talking about this very issue. He is going to be interviewing someone from the Obama administration about a handbook being given out to soldiers coming back from the war. It was banned by Bush, but apparently re-instituited by the current administration.
