10 Thousand and 10's of Thousands.. Gee... What is the difference?

Way to double or triple an estimate.. And in the minds of the right.. All they hear is "TENS Of THOUSANDS",

I hate to see this old man on television. His voice sound like an old winey old woman. He never has any thing positive to say. I feel sorry for the people he represents. I am so glad he does not represent me and if I had to hear that old cry baby voice of his I would have leave that state. Plus he lies all the time

And what if they do, Senator? Didn't you just admit that for-Profit Health Insurance can't compete with the "incompetent" government? If so, please explain to us why we should care.

How do we know this is a "false claim" until the public option is tried?

Not knowing the final details because there has been no bill passed, it would still be easy to see from what is floating about in Congress that 10s of millions will be enrolled in the "public option" whether by choice or chance. Based on health costs insurance being what it is, there are a lot of private (as opposed to government) companies that will be glad to trade what they see as an 8% tax for what they are currently paying for insurance. Also, it would seem that most of the currently uninsured will be placed on the "public option". That makes somewhere between 12-40 million and that seems like 10s of millions.

It could be tens of millions or it could be considerably less. It all depends on the premiums and what the insurance will cover.

Be willing to bet you, that if health reform passes with a public option, that withing five years of signing, at least 20 million will be enrolled in that option. Not counting Medicare. I will put up a bottle of premium wine against whatever you come up with. Print this out and save it.

If it happens, it's because it's the most affordable plan out there. You can blame the failure on the stubborness of the "free market" and it's willingness to correct itself. I'll bet a case of boddington's for every premium wine you bet and still have enough beer to last a lifetime.

The only thing Hatch said that wasn't crap was that insurance should be reformed. Par for the course for all Republicans.

These aging Repub fogeys are slow to catch on to the fact that alternate data refuting their tall tales is now easily available and lying is obviously as easy to do as that done by career criminals, which are often labeled as sociopaths.
But these show hosts are really weaklings as well, why not tell some of these liars that they're full of B.S. and that a huge section of the American Public is just fed up with them?

Hatch, like most Republican leaders, will say almost anything to earn the money the insurance industry has paid and will pay him. According to fivethirtyeight.com, the "Hatch-man" has received over $19 million from the health insurance industry since 1989.

He uses techniques like lies, deception, manipulation, and authoritarianism to convince people that the insurance industry is more efficient (30% overhead + profits vs. 3% for the US government in managing Medicare) and more effective (45 million people without insurance) in maintaining the health of the general public.

People like Hatch have little credibility with millions of Americans people who are astute enough to see through their techniques; however, people like Fox viewers buy into the hate-speech and become laughed at by the manipulaters. Hatch knows exactly what he's doing.
