      In my humble opinion...

Any college paper or essay that is written about any aspect of health-care, business, and economy must have Paul Krugman as a source!

Mr. Krugman, like radio host and author Thom Hartmann, is a blessing for all that is good and decent in what we are capable of as a country!

      Medicare for all!

Enjoyed your comment. Some republicans and democrats don't like to hear from Krugman because he tends to state the unvarnished truth, and they don't want to hear it.

He has a lot of fans here. His democratic critic's probably have the words Blue Dog in front of their party affiliation.

The two gentlemen sitting to George's left ought to be working in the white House - and we are fortunate that both of them have.

The two horse-hides sitting to George's right need to get real jobs.

On one hand, Republicans say they want cuts in Medicare and Medicaid (some even say the government shouldn't pay for medical care for individuals at all), while on the other they say anything less than a rubber stamp approval of anything a doctor and patient ask for is a "death panel" decision. For government providing = "socialist". Against government providing = "death panel." Which is it? What are Republicans for?

Since Republicans want to kill legislation that would provide health care for millions, aren't the Republicans, under their own definition, one big death panel? How many life saving procedures are the Republicans denying?

I'm very happy Krugman said something because this colossal contradiction has gone on with the Republicans for months and nobody ever says anything about it. I'd like the media to pin them down - what should the government pay for and what shouldn' it pay for? The media is letting Republicans completely get away with this dishonesty.

ALSO: The same thing happened during the battle over the stimulus bill. Right wing media told its listeners that there was a provision in the stimulus bill that would empower a government panel to deny end of life care to senior citizens deemed to old to benefit from it. Not only was the lie unchallenged back then, nobody tried to pin the GOP down on what the government ought to provide then either. Lots of conservative senior citizens were terrified when the stimulus bill passed, and nobody pointed out to them that cutting off medical care to non-senior citizens would end lives too.
