      FOX's bad apple...

It seems certain now that the worms that've been feeding on Glenn's brain are munching their way into the core.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Imagine here that Glenn Beck is bravely speaking out about the recent Martian takeover of Earth by giant killer robots (our "masters"). Then his rant *might* make sense.

      "If you are afraid now..."

I'm actually hopeful, Mr. Beck. For the first time in eight years, I think we may have a government that responds, even if sluggishly, to the will of those it was created to represent.

I see fear in the insurance companies. Why else would they spend millions of dollars every week to push an agenda that is killing Americans?

I see fear in the conservative movement. Why else would they spend hours of TV/radio time each day trying in vain to label our President and his policies as racist? Muslim? Socialist? Marxist? Communist? Fascist? Nazi? Never once realizing many of these labels are in fact contradictory?

I see fear in that portion of America that fears any change, whether it be a black president or a public option to compete with private insurance. Why else would they protest legislation that will help lower their out of pocket health care costs?

I see fear in you, Mr. Beck. You are losing advertisers at a phenomenal pace.

But I also see hope. Hope displayed by the millions of Americans just like me, who know the benefits of a public option, and have educated themselves about what the bill actually says by reading it, and not letting others dictate meaning to them. I see hope in all those like me who refuse to fall for the lies that you and those like you tell.

Do not threaten the freedom of my children after applauding so loudly for the Patriot Act, sir. You have already proven that you care nothing about them, and nothing about freedom. You are for security at any cost. You have declared sides. You have chosen Fear. It is you who cowers, knowing that your value to society is falling like a meteor to earth.

I was listening to Beck on the radio this morning and he was clearly speaking of the 30-40 CZARS that have been appointed by Pres. Obama. Has ANY president in our history appointed so many CZARS. I know Bill Bennett was appointed a drug czar under Reagan, but 30 seems like a lot. What impact can these czars have on congress or policy?

You know who gave these people the name "czar"? The media.

Turn off Beck . . . he has NO idea what he's talking about and is one of the least educated people on television or radio. He is a high school dropout who brags about being "self-educated." He should fire his teacher.

You have a lot of questions for somebody who just listened to Beck "clearly speaking" about the Czars. It's almost as if he didn't really have any knowledge on the subject, but managed to plant all sorts of scary questions in your mind.

What impact can they have? Could be positive , could be negative, but I don't see having experts in many fields working out issues as something that should cause immediate and automatic panic.

Besides, I just saw a report on TV about the newest batch of Czars. I had the sound off, but they arrived in a huge shiny limo, and were carrying an addendum to the health care legislation titled "To Serve Man", so it looks like they're working in our interests.

What impact would they possibly have on Congress? And I'm not sure why you're pointing out what Beck was referring to. The question he was asked was about czars, the clip clearly includes that. It's not like MMfA is hiding that.

Bush had almost twenty czars. So that's fine, but somewhere between that and thirty there's a tripwire that should alarm us that we're in danger of losing our freedom or some other nonsense.

          Bush Czars:

          Drug Czar
          Faith based Czar
          War Czar
          WMD Czar
          Energy Czar
          Cybersecurity Czar
          Regulatory Czar
          AIDS Czar
          Manufacturing Czar
          Katrina Czar
          Bird Flu Czar
          Intelligence Czar
          Copyright Czar
          TARP Czar
          Terrorism Czar
          Border Czar

I mean, it's as if they (meaning conservatives) just found out about this Czar thing. Nixon started it, and every president since that time has had Czars of some sort or another.

This is just another "look over here" thing for republicans to gripe about, forgetting that this has been SOP for a long time, and really, not a big deal, and or could possibly help move things along.

You do realize a Czar is an emperor, and these "advisor czars" you are so worried about are actually a creation of the Reagan Administration. If these advisors didn't bother you under the Bush or Reagan Administrations, why should it bother you now? Or have you been reading Malicious Malkintent, too? She dripped so much venom while writing her latest screed it is a wonder she didn't drown everyone in the county who survived the poison itself.

Except that Bush, Clinton, GHW Bush, and Reagan had plenty of Czars during their terms in office. It's as if the media, and particulary, the right wing media just all of a sudden realized this.

Bush had well over 20 during his terms in office.

        Wow, 30 "czars". So what?

Insurers admit 50,000 employees lobbying Congress to claim profits fair

You should be worried that 50,000 people are lying to maintain the status quo instead of focusing on 30 people willing to challenge it.

I thought he'd be silenced now with all his advertisers dropping like flies... shows you there is always someone in this country willing to support a racist fearmonger. Nothing the public does is going to get Beck to stop polluting the airwaves with his garbage. The only person with the power is Rupert Murdoch and he's even more of a public villain than Beck.

UPS has "temporarily" removed ALL advertising from Fox. More are likely to follow. The advertisers are finally understanding that just because a show has high ratings for its small market niche, doesn't mean that the public at large appreciates this show. Continuing to advertise on a network which reaching only a small percentage of the country but which has such a hate-filled message is NOT good business. JMO.

Also, Murdoch is, first and foremost, a businessman. He's said that he will push the phony conservative mode on Fox until it is no longer a money maker for him. Maybe that time is coming soon.

Don't know where to put this, so I'll put it on this thread. UPS has dropped ALL advertising on Fox, not just Beck's program. Now, we'll see what Rupert does. He's not going to like this at ALL.

I won't worry about my children serving Masters until another Conservative Republican Administration is in power again, thank you. For someone who talks so much about honor and integrity, you do so much to squander yours, Beck. Do you do it deliberately or are you completely clueless? If you ask me, your freakout on your radio show was a much worse case of "thugocracy" than anything that Obama has done. And if you are really concerned with how your children see you, then maybe you should change the way you behave. Urging people into sedition is a despicable act. And if the safety of my children is at all important to you, as it is to me, then cease and desist before you get someone hurt or killed.
