Gosh, you're so right! That totally explains why the reich is afraid of letting the free market decide if the public health care option is really a viable alternative! I mean, what better way to deny success than to create competition!

Ignorance realiy is bliss for morons like you.

When the gov't gets involved, the free market ceases to exist. There is no free market in health insurance now. Certainly not when employers control it and give you one option.

You got that right, and the only way to bring back a free market insurance is to increase competition. Hence the need for a public health care alternative.

But hey, nice strawman! One option health care! You people with your whacky conspiracy theories really do crack me up!

That's because the USPS is so freaking awful at their job that people will choose anything to avoid using it. Do you want those kinds of people in charge of your health care? Did I mention the postal service is $8 billion in debt? No problem though, let's just have another bailout.

Yep, the USPS is awful, unless you need a letter sent across the country within a couple of days for less than half a dollar. Then it works great, roughly 99.99 percent of the time.

Now, if the Postal Service was privatized, I bet it would work even better, and it would operate in the black. It would also deny coverage to a big chunk of Americans who don't happen to live within a mile or two of major highways. And it would cost a lot more. Want proof? Take a look at how rural folks were treated by the private power companies before the Great Depression. But hey, nothing should stand in the way of the Free Market, right?

                Thank you, jjamele.

Like I keep saying to these wingnut neoKKKons: if they WANT to pay more to get their letter sent or their healthcare from a for-profit company, fine . . . PAY MORE AND STFU.

Just don't cry if either UPS rejects your package or your private insurer drops you, OK?

I'll cry when the government-run health care system denies care to a deathly ill patient like they did to that woman in Oregon. Luckily that evil, satanic pharmaceutical company that created the drug she needed provided it for free after hearing her plight. They sure are evil, those drug companies.

No, YOU tell US. Your heroes can't even come up with an actual bill. They just insist that it (whatever IT is of course) just needs to be shoved through immediately.

This is the sort of drivel from Boss Hogg that makes one wonder if his average fan needs to be mentally challenged (I mean literally, not just garden variety stoopid) or be as messed up on drugs or booze as their hero.

Is this enlightening to somebody? Babbling on and repeating the obvious, that private sector business generates revenue to run the government, or that the president of the U.S. lives a lifestyle that is better than the average American?

Rush makes many times what Obama makes, and his money comes from the private sector as well. For him to be enjoying that life with no discernible talent other than the ability to lie and smear continuously, isn't that even worse than being an elitist? I'd call it criminal.

President Obama IS the PRESIDENT of the United States of America. His children should go to private schools for their safety as well as a better education. Everyday Obama puts his life on the line for this country and his life is more at risk due to big mouths who rant and rage like Rush. I wish people would start to realize how the people like Rush, Hannity & Beck cost us more to protect our elected President and others in high positions.

Exactly how does he put his life on the line? Is it when he takes his multi-million dollar vacation or when he takes Air Force One to New York for date?

And when Bush and Reagan did this, it was okay? When George W. Bush took Marine One to Quantico Marine Base and closed part of the base just to go mountain biking on a practically weekly base, it was okay? Blair House wouldn't be cheaper. It is actually three houses and the White House would still have operating expenses even if they did move. Also, it is okay for the Reagans to have all white, rich friends, who really were elitist, and it's okay for the Bushes to hang out in Maine, with all white people, but when the Obamas do it, it is wrong? Going to the most conservative places in California or Texas is okay, but not Massachusetts. The Obamas sent their children to Sidwell Friends, a Quaker school that has a huge number of scholarship students and is open to all races and faiths. Public schools may be okay for most children, but there are security concerns both for the child and the school that may not be there for the children of more ordinary Civil Servants. At least the Obamas chose a school known for its fairness. Harry Truman's daughter Margaret was nearly kidnapped from school when she was a child, her quick thinking teacher denied that Mary Truman was in class and the person left. Rush made a bunch of comments of Air Force One looking small with Obama standing in front of it, face it. Rush doesn't like Obama because of his color and nothing else. There is nothing this man can do that will make him happy.

The Obamas chose to send their kids to a private school because they can afford to do so. Conservatives like to point at examples like this and scream "everyone should have the same choice!" and push for vouchers. Of course, they don't believe that people have the right to Health Care choices. They claim to believe in the free market- but they want private schools subsidized with tax dollars through vouchers. There's no rhyme or reason to their "logic."
