Beck really thinks the Founding Fathers will all be waiting on the other side to quiz people about their position on healthcare reform?

I love the reference to "Lonesome Rhodes" - for those of you who have never seen it, Lonesome was a character played by Andy Griffith in the black-and-white Elia Kazan Movie "A Face in the Crowd" - a "behind the media scenes" movie everyone should see. don't think of Andy as Sheriff Taylor - in this movie he plays a megalomaniacal TV star of a television show reminiscent of "Hee Haw" (before Hee Haw hit the airwaves), who believes he can shape public opinion and create political giants using the airwaves. Great Movie.

I loved that movie. Becky is a mix of Rhodes and Beale (another great movie and amazingly so far ahead of its time).

Lets see, for 6 years or more you left wing loons bashed President Bush day in and day out, calling him a Nazi and worse. Don't you listen to AirAmerica radio, oh wait, that is basically off the air because people hate to listen to hours of uncontrolled hate and vitriol. Someone disagrees with your way of thinking and you settle into name calling and bashing everything connected to that person - family, parents, friends etc. I always thought that democrates (liberals) were the ones that push for freedom of speech and are the ones that are so bi-partisan. That is a bunch of "B" as in "B" and "S" as in "S". Obama.the liberal congress and the press are showing their true colors by blasting anyone and everyone who disagrees with them. So much for freedom of speech. Never had a problem disagreeing with President Bush, he always said people had a right to disagree. This use to be a free country. Look at California, when they voted down for the THIRD (?) time, gay marriage. The liberal nuts set out to destroy people and business that donated money and support to defeat gay marriage. Nice, really nice. NOT. I have seen just how hypercritical liberals actually are. And to think at one time I was one of them.

"Lets see, for 6 years or more you left wing loons bashed President Bush day in and day out, calling him a Nazi and worse."

I never called Bush a Nazi. As a student of history, I find such comparisons generally repellant and not particularly useful. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you find all the right-wingers calling Obama Hitler and the like equally objectionable.

"Don't you listen to AirAmerica radio, oh wait, that is basically off the air because people hate to listen to hours of uncontrolled hate and vitriol."

Really? I was listening to them just yesterday and they seemed to be on the air to me. "Basically off the air." What a dishonest construction.

"Someone disagrees with your way of thinking and you settle into name calling and bashing everything connected to that person - family, parents, friends etc."

Name calling? That's rich coming from someone who started their post with "left wing loons."

"I always thought that democrates (liberals) were the ones that push for freedom of speech and are the ones that are so bi-partisan. That is a bunch of "B" as in "B" and "S" as in "S". Obama.the liberal congress and the press are showing their true colors by blasting anyone and everyone who disagrees with them. So much for freedom of speech."

Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism, and bipartisanship is a two-way street.

"Never had a problem disagreeing with President Bush, he always said people had a right to disagree."

Obama said people don't have a right to disagree?

"This use to be a free country. Look at California, when they voted down for the THIRD (?) time, gay marriage. The liberal nuts set out to destroy people and business that donated money and support to defeat gay marriage."

Yeah, you never see the right target political enemies. And I like how you conflate freedom with the freedom to deprive fellow citizens (in this case gays) of their freedoms.

"I have seen just how hypercritical liberals actually are. And to think at one time I was one of them."

We're glad you changed sides. We don't need anyone as irrational as you defending our opinions.

Beck is over the top, but his point about the czars is well taken. These "czars" answer to no one, they aren't subject to confirmation and many of them have very radical views. Many of them are self-described socialists and communists. I for one am extremely concerned about the President surrounding himself with this ilk.

Can you concede the fact that our financial markets have been flourishing in recent weeks under this so-called "socialist" and "communist" "thugocracy"? Are you capable of grasping the fact that this current bull market kicks all this hyperbolic BS to the curb? Can you do it? Yes you can! Stand up and shut up! USA! USA! USA!

And what's so stupid about what I said? Back up what you say. I'm prepared. Let's take one czar, Van Jones. He's allied himself with socialist, communist and militant groups the majority of his adult life. In fact, he said " I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next 10 years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary. I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist." Those are the "czar's" own words. If you don't find that troubling, then you're a sick puppy.

How about reading what he said IN CONTEXT? You are simply posting a C&P from an e-mail that's going around.

Beck is going after Jones because he wants low information people like you who watch his program faithfully drinking in EVERY word to believe that Jones is the reason his backside is in a sling for his current problems with advertisers. Jones has nothing to do with CoC any longer and hasn't for over 2 years. Demonizing Jones is helping Beck keep his audience because you WANT to believe Obama, who is actually quite moderate, is a radical, uber-left wing lunatic.

I'll admit that when it comes to foreign policy, he's been more moderate. But you can't possibly be sit there with a straight face and say he's moderate on domestic/social issues.

I can’t believe anyone, can not be appalled by the mere existence of a Czar, much less over three dozen. If you can accept the concept of Czars, why would you not want to shine the light of day on the ideology and past political connections of the persons filling the seat of “direct advisor to the President”. I find it very interesting that Mr. Olbermann can spend his air time bashing people that have become successful in the very profession he is attempting to seek a living, but no time to investigate or examine a single Czar.

But there haven't been as many czars in one administration before. Besides, previous czars were vetted by the FBI. For some reason Obama's administration feels the need to circumvent the FBI and vet these folks himself. Wonder what he's trying to hide??????

Presidential advisers rarely are. That's what the official title of a "czar" is . . . . adviser.
