You see, it's fun to play the Limbaugh game where you just make s#!+ up in order to destroy a person's character.
Why is it that Black water and 800 other Hessian-like private agencies are employed by the CIA? The simple answer is so that they do no fall under the rule of law and are unaccountable.
It would be one thing if all this craziness was effective, like we were in a Tom Clancy novel, but the last 8 years of fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq has certainly demonstrated that this private army has not been effective at all.
Who benefits? We do, the people of this country. Our National Security is stronger when we are not acting like a terrorist nation. We are stronger when we are not world-wide thugs.
Who benefited from the torture? Nobody.
We learned nothing.
We lost credibility in the world.
We put our troops that are already in danger in the field, in even more danger if they were ever to be captured.
I wonder what he thought then of one of our founding fathers and former presidents John Adams, the man who defended the soilders who committed the Boston Massacre, which could be defined as state sponsered terrorism.
Rush will never admit that "equal justice for all" means sometimes you have to defend the bad guys and anyone who has the fortitude to do something that will be that unpopular in order to uphold the ideals of the country is a better man then most.
