It amazes me that you can actually make money doing this stuff. Olbermann and Media Matters and the like watch other entertainers and journalists and then do an hour by hour transcription of what is said and display it here and some fools, like me, log on to see what it is about and I find college sophomores copying down what someone else says and they get paid for it. These are not even critiques. These are sophomoric barbs. Like, you know, you know? You get it? LOL

What lies did Glenn Beck make up about the green jobs czar? I watched his program on Monday and he used Jones own proclamations. It does seem untoward that Jones stsrted the CoC and a few days later a boycott was setup. I'm not against the boycott mind you, but it does seem like the strong arm of the government at work. On his radio show this morning I heard Glenn say the WH called to ask him to stop calling Jones a Czar. Why would they do that?
Also, I heard him say yesterday that he and his family were followed into the Museum of Natural History and his families movements were posted in real time on the internet, if harm comes to Glenn and his family will MMFA and Olberman claim responsibilty for that as they tried to blame O'Rielly for the death of Tiller the baby killer?

How about the fact that Van Jones is no longer even with Color of Change, and the top executive from Color of Change said Van Jones was not even aware of the boycott of Beck's show. How about the fact that they are distorting one old comment Van Jones made to portray him as as a radical and "friend of terrorists", even though the article they cite clearly quotes Van Jones as saying he renounced his "black nationalism" long ago. How about that they are portraying this as some vendetta orchestrated by the White House despite any proof? Give me a break fishergirl.

Your comment about MMFA and Olbermann being responsible if something happens to Beck is laughable. So they are not allowed to call out Beck for his antics and commentary? What have they ever said about Beck's family??? Also, the person who is much more likely to create violence is Beck himself with his insane comparisons to Hitler, his talk of the government taking over everything and rights being stripped, and his general fear-mongering on every issue (grandma being euthanized, etc.).

You're also ignoring that the ADVERTISERS chose not to run their ads on Beck. Why do you think that is? Have these advertisers pulled out of other shows, even on Fox? No, they have only pulled off of Beck's show. Obviously they had a problem with his rhetoric and the direction he was taking his commentaries. They exercised their right not to run ads. It was a business decision. They don't have to listen to any group that complains.

It's like Rush says, Olbermann, et al, ride the coattails of success like a remora 'rides' a shark. Keith is happy to subsist on the scraps that Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck cast off in their daily routine. Keith's ratings are in the toilet but at least he has the Orbitz commercial to fall back on.;)

Big deal. Teabaggers spend their pathetic lives listening to radio and watching t.v.....and then they BRAG about it. Seriously....quite pathetic.

Um, Glenn Beck has been questioning Van Jones for weeks. The CoC just recently started the boycott, so it seems like they are in fact, the ones with the vendetta. Beck probably didn't mention the CoC because they claim this boycott has nothing to do with their ties to Jones. Yeah right.

Carlson gets paid no matter what she reads. Like Beck claiming last night his highest ratings without proof or subjecting themselves to peerr review by others in the business of reporting/ educating that masses. We have to rely on googling skills and Countdown to undress these unguided missiles. Oh yeah, Van Susteren had this Griff ( sp ) guy on last night and he played a clip from MSNBC of Mr Howard Dean and cropping the edges so you couldn't see the MSNBC logo. Care to cite any sources in particular? The only source I could find says the ratings were almost double all the other cable news channels combined, and almost approached broadcast TV nightly news--which is all that was claimed. At least, I assume when people say ratings they do mean the industry standard Nielson ratings. Regardless of what he meant/mislead/whatever, you must admit facts like that are pretty deviating.

          1. He tries to connect public anger towards the banking CEOs who ruined our financial sector with the situation in Russia before the Bolshevik Revolution,

          2. He said that no other President had never been sworn into office without a Bible. He said he 'checked'.

          3. Glenn Beck lied when he said recently that $1.4 million of stimulus momey was used to repair a door at Dyess AFB. The doors repaired were aircraft hangar doors and the cost was not $1.4 million.
The cost was $246000 out of $1.4 million in repairs funding.

          4. we all know about him being called out as a liar by Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters.

          5. In June Beck lied when he said that the US was the ONLY country that had a natural birthright provision.

          6. Glenn Beck lied when he said that the director of White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, "has proposed forcing abortions and putting sterilants in the drinking water to control population."

I guess I could go on and bring up the numerous conspiracy theories concerning things such as ACORN, Obama and the Weather Underground, etc. or I could point to the various apocolyptic predictions such as his assertion that the conflict last year between Isreal and Hamas leading to WWIII. But, for these wild eyed stories to be lies, I would have to show he knows these things to be crap but presents them as fact anyway.

I really don't know if he is just pandering to a couple of million ignorant people to make millions of dollars or if he really is a delusional man who simply got real lucky and gets to spout his paranoid thoughts via radio and television instead of on a street corner somewhere smelling of Urine and booze. Either way, there is no doubt in my mind he has stopped taking his neuroleptic medications. I think we can all see that to be true.

            1. Is that what he said? I recall him making the point about a small group of people changing the way a country works overnight.
            2. Can you provide the quote in context of this statement?
            3. I haven't heard this quote but it seems like a point of semantics. Find the original quote, not what you think he said.
            4. Exactly. He was called out. It doesn't make him one. Whoopi and Barbara Walters were wrong in that case.
            5. I haven't seen this quote. Do you have it in context?
            6. Well he is right. Didn't that director co-author a book proposing these procedures and policies?

              1. He said it. he meant it. so why don't you tell me what "small group" you recall him referring to.

              2. What??????? Beck, on his television show, while discussing the second swearing in ceremony of Obama said : "I've Checked, We have never had a President sworn into office without a Bible." In fact, the context makes the lie worse because he was obviously trying to insinuate something sinister about Obama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_f61ClxwAI

              3. Please, your vain attempts to defend the indefensible are hilarious if nothing else. Anyway, Glenn Beck dedicated a portion of his show on Fox News to point out what he called wasteful spending, and pointed out the $1.4 million to "to repair a door" at Dyess. (He mistakenly said Dyess was located in San Antonio, Texas, the location of the company to which the repair contracts were awarded).

"Wow, what happened to that door?" he added. "That's a lot of repairing, you know. Can we buy a new one, and cheaper? I don't know what building 5112 is, but it better fly, drop bombs, or have 1.4 million doors."

              4. Again, you are delusional. He admitted he "mischaracterized" the story, which really means he admitted he LIED!! For Christ's sakes!!!

              5. I hope that after you see these things for yourself you will at least admit your hero is a know liar. I know that is tough, kind of like seeing your dad cry for the first time or something, anyway: "On his June 10, 2009, Fox News program, host Glenn Beck raised an immigration hot button that has gained some legislative traction in recent months: the issue of whether the United States ought to continue to grant citizenship to any child born in the country, even if the parents are illegal immigrants.

"You know, the anchor baby thing has always really hacked me off," Beck said. "You know the anchor baby. You know what that is. It's when a child that is born here, becomes a citizen and they help the illegal parents become citizens, right?"

He continued, sarcastically, "Remember empathy. Oh, empathy. No one wants to separate that family. Oh, that baby is a child. It's an anchor. It's an anchor to stay here."

"Why do we have automatic citizenship upon birth?" Beck asked. "Do you know? We're the only country in the world that has it. Why?"

Of course this has been debunked as a lie again by Politifact. You can see it here: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jun/19/glenn-beck/glenn-beck-claims-us-only-country-automatic-citize/

              6. No he isn't right, Beck completely took a scenario from a book written by the author out of context and somehow came to the conclusion that this man advocated such actions.Again, you use the all too common argument of O'Reilly and others about context, as if it makes such a statement any less ridiculous. Nevertheless, ""I mean, we've got czars now," Beck said during his July 22, 2009, program. "Czars like John Holdren, who has proposed forcing abortions and putting sterilants in the drinking water to control population."
Of course Politifact has identified this LIE and debunked it. You can go here to see the debunking for yourself:http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/jul/29/glenn-beck/glenn-beck-claims-science-czar-john-holdren-propos/

Now go away. I have proven Beck to be a liar, you either accept these factual examples or you don't. I don't care if you choose to simply ignore the facts in favor or emotion.

There's really no beating around the bush here. Olbermann is outright wrong. Beck was asking questions about Van Jones long before Color of Change got offended by Beck's "Obama is a racist" comment.

While we're at it, I wonder if Color of Change will also petition a boycott of Countdown with Keith Olbermann since he called millions of Americans racist on Tuesday evening. We don't need this type of rhetoric and hatemongering coming from a respected news channel such as MSNBC.

Are you trying to indicate that Beck isn't focusing on Van Jones as he is right now because he is just getting back around to it, or is it more logical to believe that Beck has an axe to grind?

Poor victim Beck. I'm glad he has people like you to feel sorry for him. You are a shoulder for him to cry his crocodile tears upon.

What's to boycott? His ratings suck, so, not too many folks want this num*nutz hocking their product. He (Olbermann) is not a successful author like O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, etc., he's a smug, bitter leftist who makes his living berating the successful people in the 'pundit' business. He never debates any issue and never has a guest on his show with a dissenting viewpoint. In other words, Keith preaches to a very small choir! No need to boycott Keith, he did it to himself!

New studies show obese folks have 8% less brain mass, and suffer from increased brain degeneration. While those who are simply overweight have 4% less brain tissue.

Percent of obese adult Americans: 32.2% (90 million, if you can't do the math) with 30% overweight.

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Americans living in Louisiana, Mississippi and West Virginia are the most at-risk population for obesity.
