Joe Scarborough would never be called a Historian.
That statement died as it left his mouth like a Patient of Dr. Kevorkian.
I like Joe, he is better than most Conservatives.
But i do wish he would watch the Superlatives.

      Speak truth to power.

Based on the clips that MMFA posted here, relative to my expectation of the man, I'd have to agree. He did restrain his comments, and show far more respect than I expted him to.

But that's like saying AlQaeda should be commended for not launching another major U.S. attack after 9/11.

          LOL. Yeah, something likt that!

Actually I'd missed the bit about comapring HC reform to slavery, so it didn't take long. I guess it just goes to show that if I ever think LImbaugh is being a halfway decent human being, I just need to do a little more research.

Too bad the rest of the classless and radical teabagging hicks couldn't and didn't restraint themselves:
      Roger Kimball:
Edward M. Kennedy,”...“Liar, cheat, drunk, philanderer, and — let’s not forget — inadvertent murderer.” The tsunami of sentimental pap about Kennedy is already churning, gushing, rushing to inundate the public with a nauseating and untruthful fairy tale about the “Lion of the Senate.” The Lyin’ in the Senate is more like it.

      K-Lo:
He’s responsible for things that are deeply offensive to my conscience and diametrically opposed to the teachings of the Catholic faith, and he probably led some people astray by his example.

      Erick Erickson:
I can’t say that I’ll miss him...Ted Kennedy supported the expansion of the welfare state and a culture of dependency on government, made all the more tragic given how ensnared his life was to dependency. He should have known better given his own life and that of his family.

      Right Wing Nuthouse:
No doubt Kennedy the man was a despicable cad, a notorious roue, and, until late in life, a certified drunk.

      Powerline:
We live in Edward Kennedy's America not only in the consequential legislation that he sponsored and saw through the Senate, but also in the afterlife of the vulgar political sham on which Senator Kennedy relied to defeat the nomination of Judge Bork.

      RedState:
It is traditional, upon the passing of an important and famous person - however controversial - to find some good words to say. This is not an easy task in the case of Ted Kennedy, a man whose personal life ranged from alcoholism to debauchery to sexual harrassment to (sadly, uncharged) second-degree murder, and whose public career entailed the embrace of nearly every foolish, ruinous and cruel political idea of the past five decades and whose most enduring legacy is installing the bitterly polarized modern Supreme Court confirmation process.

      The Anchoress:
It’s entirely possible that what Kennedy’s death will really do is bring into stark relief the fact that under Obamacare, this overweight 77 year-old man with liking for the drink would probably have faced treatment rationing and an offer for “physician aid-in-dying”.

      Dan Riehl:
Given word of his passing, the Senate, as predicted by Rush Limbaugh, is considering re-naming the health care bill in Ted "The Liberal Liar Lion of the Senate" Kennedy's honor, while also amending it to include mandatory long distance swimming lessons, as well as CPR and breath control classes for all Americans.

      Roger L. Simon:
Kennedy left the scene of a fatal accident for which he was at least partly responsible. Then he used his extraordinary power to get off, spending the rest of his career in pseudo-remorse, playing the most liberal of Senators. It was always an act to me, even when I agreed with him politically. This was not a life well lived.

You are quoting, as you said yourself, radicals. Why don't you post the vile things the mainstream conservatives said? Oh that's right, because there weren't any vile comments made by them. I could post link after link here to radicals on the left glorifying the deaths of conservatives. Your post means nothing.

Of course it means nothing to you, because you agree with them. But, conservative mainstream IS radical. Malkin IS mainstream, Briebart IS mainstream, Erickson IS mainstream, Redstate IS mainstream.... Where is the condemnation and outrage from you and your fellow hateful teabagging reich-wingers? Huh? Where? Your only response is some "the Left did it too! waaaaaah!!!!" Pathetic, but not surprising. You = Pwnd

Actually, your post means nothing.....thanks for proving that.

And if you would do your research, you would know that "mainstream" Michelle Malkin posted this on her web site yesterday regarding Kennedy's death: "Put aside your ideological differences for an appropriate moment and mark this passing with solemnity." And "fascist" Bill O'Reilly condemned the vile internet postings regarding Kennedy's death. And if it makes your little heart feel any better, I personally condemn any vile attacks on Kennedy. How do you feel about vile attacks on dead conservatives? The point I will repeatedly make is that the folks at this web site, by and large, are HYPOCRITES, with you standing front and center.

You comically name O'Racist as some sort of reich-wing torchbearer yet I have provided you with countless pages of hate and vileness from your fellow radical teabagging subhumans. I have proven without a doubt that reich-wingers are vile and HYPOCRITES....with you standing front and center.

Nope, but obviously the folks at this web site see him as a torch bearer, otherwise they would spend so much time trying to eviscerate him.

Let's take a look at the part you purposely left out of Maulkin's comments:

There is a time and place for political analysis and criticism. Not now.

Yes, there will be a nauseating excess of MSM hagiographies and lionizations — and crass calls to pass the health care takeover to memorialize his death.

That’s no excuse to demonstrate the same lack of restraint in the other direction. Not now.

How nice - she's actually gonna wait 24 hours to pounce.

rushbo's comments were not as bad as i thought they would be... maybe they were "restrained", but certainly had some lack of respect behind them. now, next week or so, they will certainly get more hateful and underhanded. that is almost a guarantee.
