John McSame could not hold Teddy Kennedy's jock. To even imply that he is in the same league would be like comparing Sarah Palin to mother Teresa. Give me a break. I am nauseau and about to puke.

oh god... please. he wont be anywhere near sen. kennedy in stature or respect, especially after the dishonest campaign he ran and his choice of an uneducated alaskan as his VP. (not to say all alaskan's are uneducated, but this one certainly was.)

How many is "a lot of people," Wolf? Three or four? And there are probably many, many more people who think McCain doesn't amount to much of a senator at all.

"Mr. Blitzer, I served with Teddy Kennedy; I knew Teddy Kennedy; Teddy Kennedy was a friend of mine. John McCain is no Teddy Kennedy."

And Lloyd Bentsen's other comments (to Dan Quayle) also seem right on point: "You are the one that was making the comparison, Senator — and I'm one who knew him well. And frankly I think you are so far apart in the objectives you choose for your country that I did not think the comparison was well-taken."

Speaking of Dan Quayle, did you know that when they served in the Senate together Ted Kennedy and Dan Quayle were drinking buddies?

Blitzer says "a lot of people think" John McCain "might emerge as the new Ted Kennedy in the U.S. Senate"
      Preciselt who says that, Wolf?

One example of someone who doesn't already live in an institution will suffice.

McCsin has a better chance of being the next Michelle Bachman.

That should be "McCain", of course. And you can substitute "Moron" for "Michelle Bachman" if you wish, also.

A -- Blitzer, name one of these "a lot of people." besides yourself, that is.

B -- Well anyone can understand why Blitzer is expecting McCain to "emerge." After all, he's new to the job. McCain's only been in Congress since 1983 and the Senate since 1987. 26 years in Congress is obviously not enough time to figure out your role and then work to have a positive impact.

And, my friends, if he gets another 26 years in the Senate, he might be both for and against even more things. And Wolf will still call him a straight talker.

How can John McCain "emerge as the new Ted Kennedy" when McPOW is older than Methusela? Once again, Wolf Blitzer pulls another idiotic comment out of his ass.

Are you KIDDING me? I used to like John McCain . . . even supported him in 2000. [No boos!!!] But, after the way this man comported himself during the last election and after he showed such disdain for the American people and the office of the Presidency by naming that hateful, mean-spirited, incompetent woman as his running mate????? Nope, not EVER going to happen.

The Reps are trying to re-invent Ted Kennedy as someone who put bipartisanship above everything else so they can a) continue this meme that everything has to be bipartisan (now that the Dems control the legeslative and exceutive branches) and b) paint the rest of the Dems as refusing to reach across the aisle. All 3 things are false. As is the idea that McCain is some sort of bipartisan demi-god. But the press will go along with it.
