I'm a yellow dog Democrat, so I will vote for Creigh Dees, but I won't especially like it. But there is no way I will vote for a Born-again Bigot, Bible Thumping Republican!

Well it works for Fox and scores big brownie points in the board room. A win-win today for CNN producers.

Another issue is that they say that the race is "getting nasty." As I understand it, McDonnell told the WaPo about his thesis and WaPo reporter contacted Regent University and got a copy. All that has happened is that the media is providing information about one of the candidates. They are not sensationalizing it; it is McDonnell's own words that are causing the sensation. By characterizing this as getting nasty CNN is implying that 1)the Deeds campaign is behaving in an untoward manner and 2)that McDonnell is being treated unfairly. Readers drawing either conclusion would be incorrect. The woman that introduces the story would have been more accurate to say "Today the Governor's race got much more interesting as a 20 year old thesis written by GOP candidate Bob McDonnell was discovered by the Washington Post."

Not sure how much of a big deal this is.

I've attended school in VA for the last several years, I've seen images od McDonnel and Deeds all over the place yet I actually didnt reconginze the image of Deeds they used and have to checked it against the image in this article several times before I believed it.

If i didnt recongize him lots of others probibly didnt either and they got the name right, so i doubt it matters.

Meh, CNN's just rying to keep up with the Fox Comedy Channel again -- after all, it worked for Fox when they talked about the Lincoln-Douglas debates" {unfortunately, they had the wrong Douglas}:
